Kick off the holiday social season by laughing your paws off at one of Sarasota’s favorite events. Now in its 24th year, Hot Dogs & Cool Cats – Laugh Your Paws Off Gala is an elegant, lighthearted evening for a serious, lifesaving cause: the benefit of the Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC).

Hosted by Sarasota’s own Les McCurdy and Ken Sons, Hot Dogs & Cool Cats is expected to draw more than 350 guests on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The evening includes a champagne reception, dinner, an open bar, a live auction, and hilarious entertainment. The headlining comedian is Larry Miller, one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces. Miller has appeared in more than 100 films and television shows, including The Princess Diaries, The Nutty Professor, Bee Movie, Seinfeld, Desperate Housewives, Law & Order, and Boston Legal. He has starred in his own HBO comedy specials and has made dozens of appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Real Time with Bill Maher. Miller currently hosts the weekly podcast The Larry Miller Show and is the author of the best-selling book Spoiled Rotten America.
