ARCHITECTURE IS OPPORTUNITY. THE PROFESSION IS GIVEN THE GIFT TO CREATE SPACE THAT BOTH CREATES AND ENCOURAGES THE COLLABORTION OF PERSONS ACROSS PROFESSIONS. OUR TYPICAL BUSINESS PARK CREATES ISOLATED SILOS IN WHICH SINGLE IDEAS EXIST. HOWEVER, THROUGH THE CONCISE DESIGN OF SPACE WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND EXISTING IDEAS AND CREATE NEW CONSIDERATIONS BY ALLOWING COLLABORATION BETWEEN DISPARATE PROFESSIONS AND THE NURTURING OF SUCH IDEAS AS THEY BEGIN TO SPROUT. IT IS THE IDEA OF THE GROWTH OF A SINGLE PEA PLANT ON A WINDOW SILL VERSUS THE COMMUNITY OF PEA PLANTS IN THE NATURAL WORLD TENDED BY THE FARMER. TH E S I S 5
