Scripture Reflection 4th Sunday of Lent
March 10, 2013
The Gospel this weekend is a clear reminder that God's love is without end. The parable resonates with
us because in some ways we have each experienced the situation of every character in the story. There are
times that we have been the father; other times that we have acted like the elder son. And more often than not,
we have been the prodigal, seeking a way to return. One lesson to be learned is that not only are we often looking for a way back to God, but that others are as
well. Our journey makes us one.

Religious Education
Come join us on April 17th at 6:00pm for a
free Soup Supper followed by our speaker,
Tony Philips.
Over 400 people packed into the parish hall
of St. Patrick Church on August 22, 2012 to
hear Tony Philips give his witness. Like the
prodigal son, Tony’s family welcomed him
back after years of alcohol and drug
addiction. Tony credits the power of prayer
for pulling him out of the depths of despair.
He said the sacrament of reconciliation has
been especially important him.
This is an opportunity to either hear Tony’s
powerful testimony again or hear it for the
first time.
