COMMUNITY PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

Training Program, Madison, WI
Duties included co-authorship of a grant application to the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation, seeking $400,000 to fund an extensive evaluation of the community mental
health system in the State of Wisconsin. The position also involved assisting in the
construction of Wisconsin Consumers Assess Their Services (WISCATS), a
comprehensive survey instrument designed to assess mental health consumer satisfaction
with, and improvement under, differing service delivery models. The position further
involved the development of a research agenda using chaos theory to explain the
dynamics of mental control paradoxes, and application of this knowledge to social work
practice situations.
