Job DescriptionThe Master of Science in Transportation program at South Carolina State University has several graduate research assistantships available for students interested in pursuing a master’s Degree in transportation. Each graduate research assistant will receive a stipend and a full tuition scholarship. They will work closely with faculty members to conduct research in the areas of transportation planning, logistics, traffic flow theory, traffic control and simulation, traffic safety, alternative transportation fuels and environment, etc. Students from the following disciplines are encouraged to apply: Accounting, Economics, Management, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Biological Science, Physical Science, Political Science and Criminal Justice.

For full consideration, application materials should be received before October 30 (5:00 PM EST) for spring semester and June 15 (5:00 PM EST) for fall semester.

For consideration, candidates must meet the following requirements:1. Earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution2. Gain full acceptance to the Master of Science in Transportation Program at SC

State University3. Have a GPA of 3.0 or above in previous undergraduate course work or a GPA of 3.2

or above in previous graduate course work4. Be registered as a full-time student
