Roadway Projects
• Opened both Northbound lanes 2/22 • Street lighting conflict with CenterPoint
power lines scheduled for completion by the end of April
• Work continues on the project to complete outstanding items
Cullen Parkway
Cullen Parkway
Phase II – Mary’s Creek Bypass to SH35
• Opened to 4 lanes on 4/6 • Completed landscape and irrigation
installation; conducted substantial completion inspection with TxDOT
• Completed major sidewalk and brick paver installation
• Continued traffic signal installation network
Dixie Farm Road
• One lane closure between SH 35 and Veterans allowing only westbound traffic
• Brush cleared between Veterans and BNSF railroad tracks
• Began installing 10x4 RCB east of Veterans • Conflicts were identified with the relocation
of three CenterPoint Energy power poles and a resolution has been initiated.
• Utility relocation continues
Walnut Reconstruction
Construction Phase III – Morgan to Harkey and CR 89
• Contractor completed paving at the remediation areas east of FM 1128
• CenterPoint installed 2nd arm for Southfork streetlights; working on plan for Magnolia streetlights
• Initiated ditch re-grading, base and asphalt work on east side of FM 1128
• Late April/Early May opening
Magnolia Road
• Green Armor installation is scheduled to be
complete by mid-April • Final walk-through scheduled for the end of
April
Town Ditch Phase III
• Orange Street has been closed to westbound traffic between SH 35 and Mykawa to begin the installation of utilities and grading
• Began installation of inlets • Continued coordination with the utility
companies • AT&T has many conflicts that are affecting
the project
Orange Street
• Returned plan review of 100% plans with
drainage updates to the engineer for revisions • Traffic counts and noise measurements
completed for Noise Impact Analysis; Engineer working on draft report submission
• ROW acquisition underway – 61 of 65 parcels acquired, 4 in condemnation (May 16th)
Bailey Road (Veterans to FM1128)
• Irrigation and landscaping ongoing; working with HOA for upgrades
• Final clean-up in progress
McHard Road (Country Place to Cullen)
McHard Road (Soundwall Construction)
• CenterPoint installed new transmission lines
along north side of McHard in order to de-energize and remove lines on the south side.
• North side wall placement complete with the exception of Sound Fighter gate installation
• Majority of south side mow strip, column, and panel placement complete
• Two lanes of paving Flea Market to Walmart • Working with TxDOT to address local
business concerns • USACE issued permit for low water crossing
on Hickory Slough • All utilities have been relocated along SH35
with the exception of the contaminated soil area & water line on bridge
SH35 – BW8 to FM518
• Utility relocates and coordination ongoing • Initiated slip form from Kirby to Clear
Creek Bridge • Bridge deck at Clear Creek Bridge poured • Storm Sewer Completed
FM 2234 Widening
• Cabinet box, controller and signal heads delivered to contractor site
• Bollards installed and painted • CenterPoint pole adjustments and tree
clearing scheduled for completion this month

Drainage Projects
Detention Pond • Pond B excavation complete; Pilot channel
installation in progress • Excavation of diversion channel from Pond A to
CR 143 complete • Hauling activities and fill placement at designated
fill sites continued • City staff finalized pump configuration • Waiting for engineer to complete plan revisions

Diversion Ditch • Conoco Phillips issued NTP • CR100 closure thru next week • Veterans closure late April – 4-6 weeks • Awaiting re-submittal of 90% N/S Ditch

Facility Projects
• Completed below slab utilities, water, sewer,
electrical, and data • 95% complete on Site Utilities, including internal
drainage, electrical and phone and prep’d for installation of fiber optic to PSB
• Poured slab with cut outs for tilt wall panels • Reviewing Building access control options and costs
Hillhouse Road Service Center
• Continuing work on Interview Room Recording System – New cameras & mics were installed in two rooms for a
three week test period – Audio, video, and playback of new equipments meets
needs – Contractor directed to install this setup in all interview
rooms • Performed Final Acceptance Walkthrough on
March 21st . The contractor is working to complete additional items
Public Safety Building
• Held final walk-through • Continued working through warranty items,
Fire Marshal’s issues, and Architectural Barrier issues resolved
• All furniture has arrived • Intercom system was installed
Fire Station #5
• Underground utilities complete • Began erection of pre-engineered building • Driveways and 50% of parking/paving has
been poured

• HGAC grant application has been submitted • Staff has reviewed 60% design plans and
specs • Working to advertise the project once the
HGAC grant is approved
Pearland Gateway – Project Stars
Parks
• Revised plans received from architect. Held pre-development meeting with Planning to clarify permitting issues with shade structures
• Plans submitted for review through development department and CIP review processes
Trail Connectivity
• Held progress meeting to review park amenities, type and cost of fields, and brought project in line with current budget and cost estimates
• Met with BDD4 to review pond function, H&H model, access, and property acquisition, and identified need for Interlocal Agreement
• CR403 Extension per SPA with MUD#16 • Set up coordination meeting with MUD #16

30” Waterline Interconnect
• The sub-contractor has drilled the piers on the North side of Clear Creek for the aerial crossing
• The 30” waterline has been pressure tested from McHard to the Alice Street Water Plant
• Completed installation of 20” distribution waterline from Alice Street Water Plant along McHard to Old Alvin Rd.
• Fuqua line and meter station underway • CoH 72” line scheduled for completion in July 2011

building and chemical facility • Preload completed the construction of the interior
of the ground storage tank • Upon completion of the 30” waterline, Preload

South SH 35 Interim Lift Station at Industrial Drive
• Plans were revised. Request for proposal submitted to the contractor
• Proposal received from contractor and is currently under review
• Revisions will result in a deductive Change Order
• Revised Design Services proposal to remove filter lift station & filter evaluation from design effort after filter evaluation letter report was completed
• Negotiated revised design contract • Prepared contract for presentation to
Council for award
Longwood WWTP Rehabilitation
• Plant personnel are cleaning out the old storage basin to be reconstructed as the new thickener, for surveyor work on topographic plant site
• Met with geotech engineer and structural engineer on site to discuss bridge design issues
• Structural design of bridge and thickener equipment is underway
Barry Rose WWTP Rehabilitation
• Negotiated design contract • Engineer prepared revised proposal • Presenting agreement and proposal to Council for
consideration
Hatfield Basin Trunk Sewer
• Held project kick-off meeting • PER phase underway
Twin Creek Regional Lift Station
Far Northwest Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
• Staff received and reviewed proposal for
equipment repairs and upgrades from decanter manufacturer
• Scheduling to meet with UV system manufacturer
Old Alvin 20” Waterline
• Contract for PER services awarded at Council • Held Kick-off meeting
