Who God Is… Taken from 31 Ways to Praise by Bob Hostetler
He is a GOD of Justice – “LORD, I praise and magnify You, who is ‘just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus’” (Romans 3:26).
Who We Are… Faith Fellowship of Lexington is a Non-denominational gathering of Christians who enjoy traditional worship services.
Where to Find Us… Faith Fellowship of Lexington worships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church facilities at 968 Lane Allen Road in Lexington, Kentucky. Our offices are located at 365 Waller Avenue, Suite 120, in Lexington. We're at http://faithfellowshiplex.com on the web.
The Pastor’s Pen
by Dr. Bill Turner, Senior Pastor
Thinking about the financial arrangements as we move toward Liberty
Road . . . . By paying the total cost up front, we reduce our buy-in/merger
time frame by many years. Yes, it will involve a $300,000.00 bank loan at
low interest, but it will also reduce our monthly mortgage payments
significantly below what we’re now paying in rent, AND it will allow us to
pay the note off early.
Speaking of rent, I asked Ann Holt to research what we’ve already
invested in our Years at SDA. Between the costs of sanctuary, other church
space, and the rent for church office space off site, between 2009 and 2015,
we paid a total of $307,596.00. What we have to show for that outlay is the
goodwill of the SDA leadership and congregation, the opportunity to start and
grow a new congregation, and our rent receipts! All good, in that we could
not have done it otherwise, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to our hosts
at SDA.
But the time has come to move forward toward a more tangible and long-
term investment, AND to my mind- as these comparative costs show – the
news about the financial plan is good!

Mission Moment by Susan Booker, Mission Committee Member
Faith Fellowship of Lexington seeks to become the hands and feet of Christ in the world through engagement in missions.
Galilean Ministries
An offering for Galilean Ministries will be taken on Sunday, March 6
and March 13. This ministry provides a loving home to children in need
ranging from newborns to adult “children” with severe special needs. The
babies and toddlers, part of the “Born Free” ministry, are children of women
in Kentucky’s correctional institution in Pewee Valley, where they are taken
to visit their mothers each week. They are reunited at the end of the mothers’
terms. Faith Fellowship is such a generous church. You will have two
opportunities to give. Please make your checks payable to “Faith
Fellowship” and write, “Galilean Ministries” in the memo section of your
check. Thank you for opening your hearts to continue this life-saving, life-
changing, Christ-like service.
John’s Current View
by John Compton
The profile of the person spotlighted this week should
jump-start your imagination to determine who that
person is.
This person is fairly regular in attendance to all our
functions, meetings and services; attendance often
depends on how the person feels when awaking. The
ailments which affect attendance at church services are
practically gone by 11:10 a.m. on most Sundays.
Pray for Les Anderson who continues treatments for Lymphoma.
Pray for Patricia Bain who continues therapy at North Point Healthcare on Trent Boulevard after dealing with health issues that caused her to be hospitalized for a time.
Pray for Joyce Baker, sister of John Compton. Joyce received word that the chemo she had been taking was not effective. She will begin a new treatment early March, but is very discouraged about receiving this news.
Pray for Jim Burger, father of Vicki Clark, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Pray for the family of Cassie Booker, Susan Booker’s aunt who passed away on February 16. Susan requests prayers for Cassie’s daughter, Hollie and son, Archer, as well as other family members.
Pray for Sherry Brodock who is finishing up on radiation treatments for cancer. She is

ballgames on TV; lawns needing
mowing before a yet-to-be-forecasted
rain/snow/or sleet; (In other words,
before the first heavenly moisture drop
falls); the prospect of uninvited and
unexpected company, etc.
This person’s financial support
is somewhat determined by what’s left
over after current expenses, possible
future expenses for home repairs should a tornado strike the trailers home
subdivision; dentures for the puppy, etc.
The person will always be available for committee membership or
chairmanship unless that activity conflicts with the Summer, Winter, or other
bowling league; tee times; spa treatments, massages, or salt sniffing; and
heaven forbid, waiting on the cable, satellite, phone, or appliance
service/delivery “technician’.
This person is always (almost) ready to visit the sick and infirm but
only if the replacement filters for the gas mask arrive by parcel post before
the sick and infirm regains good health. Short notice of a pressing need will
not prevent the ever-expanding list of reasons why assistance cannot be
provided at this time.
In addition to all of the above, a limited wardrobe prevents this person
being seen in public.

Susan Booker’s friend.
Pray for Joyce Evans who is dealing with pneumonia that God would restore her health. She is not up to visitors or phone calls at this time.
Pray for Jim Hyde as he continues to have serious problems with diabetes management and is often not able to attend worship with us.
Pray for Bruno Jacob, a friend of Ken and Phyllis McCarty who lives in New York and is battling complications after surgery.
Please pray for Tracy Lucas, volunteer at Camp Nelson for 8 years who injured himself while getting a caisson off of a wagon. He has a broken nose, 4 broken ribs, dislocated shoulder, torn retina in his left eye, torn bicep and other injuries. He is recovering from surgery and cannot work for 3-6 months. (Compton)
Pray for Shannon Mirzaian, age 47, daughter of Buddy and Linda Hogan who is fighting an aggressive form of cancer.

Thank you, Vicki Brown!
Months ago we stopped using the attendance sheets in an effort to save money, but later decided that we need to incorporate the attendance sheets back into our Sunday routine in order to keep up with folks. Vicki Brown (pictured above) who was helping with this effort before, just stepped up again and volunteered to gather the attendance sheets each Sunday. No one had to ask her. She saw the need and knew she could help. Vicki, we love you and appreciate your true servant’s heart to do what you can do to help. And not only that, we appreciate your faithfulness in serving each and every Sunday! We can all do something if we are willing. Will you volunteer to help Vicki each Sunday so that she doesn’t have to do this all by herself? We would certainly appreciate your consideration.
