This month has been incredible and we
are prepared to begin our Village Tour
starting in April. Although the first three
months of the year were busy we are
ready to progress to the next stage of our work here at DAVCO.
One of the great announcements we have
is that beginning in April, we are planning
to commence with a new ESL class just for
our Village Councilors. Please contact our
office so we can guage who wants to join

San Jose Tilapia Project, POK-A-
TOK Tournament and San Jose
Sports Day!
The San Jose Tilapia Farmers Group
launched the San Jose Tilapia Pilot
Project-the project is funded by the
European Union and the Government
of Belize through La Inmaculada
Credit Union. Under SSEDAT it will
play a great role in diversifying
family agriculture, improving food
security with nutritional values, and
reducing poverty across the
community.
This project was the initiative of Mr.
Pablo Mesh and four other members of
the community. With the assistance of
the Area Representative, the Hon.
Gaspar Vega, they were able to dig
three earth ponds and a well.
lso, the San Jose Village Council is
sponsoring a 5-a-Side Football
Tournament which takes place every
Saturday. Ten football teams are
competing for the POK-A-TOK Cup.
