Communication PortSymptomPossible CauseRemedy 1. Missing battery.1. Charge battery up to 8 hours. 2. Battery defect.2. Replace with the same type of battery. No LED display on the front panel. 3. Power switch is not pressed at least 5 seconds. 3. Press and Hold power switch for at least 5 seconds. Alarm buzzer beeps continuously when AC supply is normal. Overload of the UPS.Verify that the load matches the UPS capability specified in the specs. 1. Overload of the UPS. 1. Remove some noncritical load. 2. Battery voltage is too low. 2. Charge battery 8 hoursor more. When power failure, back-up time is shorten. 3. Battery defect due to high temperature operation environment, or improper operation to battery. 3. Replace with the same type of battery. 1. Fuse is blown.1. Replace the same type of fuse. Mains normal but LED is flashing.2. Power cord is loose. 2. Reconnect the power cord properly. If any abnormal situations occur that are not listed above,please call service people immediately.2 8 - 2 B L A 0 0 0 0 1 1U S E R M A N U A LB l a z e r U P S4 t h E d i t i o n , 2 0 0 2Installation and Operation1InspectionInstalling the Blazer is as easy as following thesteps shown.Be aware of the Power Switch must bekept in the ONposition, otherwise, the UPS will bedisabled and your equipment will not be protectedduring a power failure.Remove the UPS from its package and inspect itfor damage that may have occurred duringshipping.If any damage is discovered, re-packthe unit and return it to the place of purchase.2PlacementInstall the UPS unit in any protected environmentthat provides adequate airflow around the unit, andis free from excessive dust, corrosive fumes andconductive contaminants.Do not operate your UPS in an environment where the ambienttemperature or humidity is high. 4Computer Connection3ChargingThis unit is shipped from the factory with its internal battery fully charged, however, somecharge may be lost during shipping and the battery should be recharged prior to use.Plugthe unit into an appropriate power supply andallow the UPS to charge fully by leaving itplugged in for at least 8 hours.Connect one computer-related device into each ofthe power receptacles supplied on the back of theUPS.5Modem/Phoneline Connection6Serial cable ConnectionPlug incoming internet line into theInsocket atthe back of the Blazer UPS.
