Using an electric mixer at medium speed, combine
the eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin until light and
fluffy. Stir together the flour, baking powder,
cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Add the dry
ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and mix at low
speed until thoroughly combined and the batter is
smooth. Spread the batter into a greased 13 by 10-inch baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool
completely before frosting. Cut into bars.
To make the icing: Combine the cream cheese and
butter in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until
smooth. Add the sugar and mix at low speed until
combined. Stir in the vanilla and mix again. Spread
on cooled pumpkin bars.

A NOTE FROM US TO YOU We would like to thank all of our families for a great start to the new school year 2015-2016. A few reminders in order for the school year to run smoothly; please update your contact information if there have been any changes, adjust extra clothes in the cubby to reflect the current season, and be sure to label all food items with your child’s first and last name, date and contents. Our family event for the month of October is our annual Fall Festival. It will be held in the large playground on Friday, October 23rd from 5pm to 7pm. The children will take part in fun fall activities. Tickets are on sale now. We will also be having a school wide parade on October 30th, for both events costumes are optional. We hope to see you there! (Next month is Picture Day and Book Fair, hope you are ready!) As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to either of us.

1 cup vegetable oil
15 -ounce can pumpkin
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ounce package cream cheese,
softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Test your super strength, makes silhouette trick-or-treat bags and challenge others with your super-villain knowledge. You might even have a supernatural encounter in our glow-in-the-dark scavenger hunt. And, of course, go home with plenty of candy! Make your ticket purchases today! The Circus is coming back! The Big Apple Circus is returning to Lincoln Center with the brand new show “The Grand Tour.” The Grand Tour will be running October 21 to January 10.
