Event Grants
• $20,000 in matching funds from City of Mandan sales tax fund provided to 19 organizations in 2010– for events that attract people to Mandan and
stimulate economic activity• Factors considered
– Value of event to Mandan & local merchants– Quality of past events– # of spectators or participants– #of times organization has requested funding
• Preference given to new events
• Maximum $5,000 per organization– 50% cash, 50% Mandan Bucks

plan• $100,000 in years 1 to 3 (2007 to 2009)• $75,000 year 4 (2010)• $50,000 year 5 (2011)• $25,000 year 6 (2012)
– Objective is to become more self-sufficient
– Opportunity to request additional funding on a project-by-project basis thereafter
