Manager, Financial Systems The Manager, Financial Systems is responsible for ensuring that appropriate support and development is provided to financial systems processes and operations, which requires experience using the Elite system and other financial packages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Manage financial systems analysts and programmers to ensure development and support activities are satisfactorily performed. •Direct the activities of IS staff on firmwide financial projects. •Coordinate with firmwide IS on software upgrades and other database projects. •Enforce the firm’s IS standards and policies with regard to financial systems reporting and make recommendations when deemed appropriate. •Act as the primary management point of contact for vendors and participate in vendor negotiations as necessary. •Coordinate with the trainers to provide consistent, ongoing training on developing software and technology. •Attend meetings with lawyers, paralegals, and/or clients to offer technical advice and expertise regarding use of technology. •Ensure the maintenance of all financial systems-related data •Maintain security to the Elite accounting data base system •Design and run reports using Elite report writer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required •Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years management experience required. •Must exhibit mastery and/or high familiarity with Elite financial systems and project management concepts. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. •Highly self-motivated and directed. •Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. •Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Access, Windows O/S and the Elite accounting package/report writer
