ABOUT US
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is popularly known as
THE PINK CITY of India. The city is surrounded by
Aravali hills. It has many forts and numerous other
monuments, which have been of interest from time
immemorial. Jaipur derives its name from Sawai Jai
Singh II, King, soldier and astronomer who built the
city in 1727. The city was laid down in rectangular
fashion with a grid system encircled by a fortified
wall according to the principles of town planning
laid down in the "Shilpa Shastra", the ancient Hindu
treatise on architecture. The result was an
impeccably planned city at the time when a few
planned cities existed, even in Europe. Jaipur is well
connected with other parts of State and the rest of
India by air, rail and road. Sanganer airport is 45 km.
from the institute. Jaipur is directly connected with
Delhi, Mumbai, Howrah, Chandigarh, Agra,
Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Jammu, Hyder-abad,
Indore Lucknow and all important cities of
Rajasthan. Rajasthan State Roadways Transport
Corporation operates regular buses from all
important cities of Rajasthan and other cities of
neighboring States and at a distance of 250 kms.
from Delhi, the capital of India.
