Our lovely baby girl whom we completely adore

Is probably going to throw cake on the floor!

We want you to witness, to be there to see

Our sweet little flower that we call Maggie.

Maggie is blooming and growing so fast

These baby days just aren’t going to last.

Soon she will catch up to her big brother Nate,

But first a big party, those days can wait.

She may not understand that it’s a special event,

Promising full bellies and presents to make her content.

But she will know that everyone there

Came to see her and show her they care.

‘Tis the beginning of the holiday season

So much to celebrate, but here’s one more reason.

After the turkey, the stuffing, and pie,

After the game and 5 a.m. bargains to buy,

Loosen your belt and forget about December.

November has one more special day to remember!

Someone else came before Santa last year,

And outshined even the fastest and brightest reindeer.

More sparkly than snow, sweeter than yams

Smarter than elves and softer than lambs,

Magnolia was born the day after Thanksgiving

And gave everyone another reason to be thankful for living.

It’s been a whole year, a winter, spring, and summer,

Fall has returned, and brought a new number.

That little baby is celebrating one in a very big way

And has grown so much since that last Black Friday.

Despite being born during the holiday rush

Poor Magnolia was destined to eat only mush.

No gingerbread cookies, no gravy, no goose,

But now she has teeth and there is no excuse.
