Magento 1 to Magento 2 Upgrades
Following the release of the Magento 2 platform in 2015, Magento have announced
they will end their support of Magento 1 in June 2020, meaning there is an ever-
increasing need for Magento 1 customers to upgrade sooner rather than later.
Although your website will continue to function, keeping it smooth and secure
will become increasingly difficult once Magento ends its support of Magento 1.
A website can take several months to scope, design and develop, so a Magneto
upgrade should be considered a high priority, to give your online shop the best
chance of success.
Magento 2 offers a better performance overall, with a smoother, faster shopping
experience. New features and technology are all designed to increase conversions,
such as increased connectivity, automation, and advanced reporting. Importantly,
Magento 2 is available for integration with all common extensions, to power the
same key functionality as your existing Magento website.
Importantly, once support of the Magento 1 CMS ends, the platform will be more
open to attack. Not upgrading Magento now may cause complications by putting
