ORIGINAL CLAAS chopper knives are coated with a special tungsten carbide powder which is actively bonded with the cutting edge of the knife in a melting process with precise temperature control. The bond produced by the matrix is just as important as the tungsten carbide content, since this pro-duces the knives’ “self-sharpening” effect: less ground mate-rial means a significantly longer service life. This results in shorter grinding times, making the use of CLAAS knives so economical.

The combination of the CLAAS QUANTIMETER with the new multiparameter conductivity sensor in the spout allows an optimized yield measuring.

The QUANTIMETER uses the dry matter content. The regis-tered quantity of the QUANTIMETER is used to activate the moisture measurement in the spout to determine the exact yield data.

Both the dry matter content as well as the yield data are dis-played permanently in CEBIS. They can be saved and printed.
