Global I/O Concurrency Option

FlexShare limits concurrent I/O based on the

following criteria:

Volume priority

Disk type

The default for most applications is the correctvalue

Change concurrent I/O for nonstandard disks

or loads



Assigning Priorities to Volume Data

Access

To assign priorities to volume data access:

1. Ensure that FlexShare is enabled:

priority on

2. Specify the priority for a volume:

priority set volume vol_name

level=priority_level

3. (Optional) Verify the priority level:

priority show volume [-v] vol_name



Assign Priorities to System and User

Operations

To assign priorities to system and user

operations:

1. Ensure that FlexShare is enabled:

priority on

2. Specify the priority:priority set volume vol_name system

3. (Optional) Verify the volume priority levels:

priority show volume -v vol_name
