    TheSieger canopener (Figure 11)was invented andpatented in1913. Itmade canopening easy forthefirst timeand is recognisedasadesignclassic. TheSiegerEminentcanopenerwasfirstproducedin 1949 to expand the product range and is still in commercial production.
