service, 9000 of the 13,000customers of Vir Gas Agency(Ganapathy Street, T. Nagar)have been shifted to TUCS(West Mambalam), SreeJayam Indane (Teynampet)and Associate Agency (T.Nagar).

Customers have beensuffering for the past fewmonths due to delayed deliv-ery, poor response and phonelines remaining ‘engaged’ for along time. The in-charge saidthat a labour problem is thecause for deterioration in ser-vices.

A number of consumers toldMambalam Times that theagency asked them to collectthe cylinders themselves fromthe agency by paying Rs. 350.While some managed to trans-port the cylinders in cars or on2-wheelers, others had to useautorickshaws.

They said that following in-troduction of the centralizedbooking system they are un-able to know the status of book-ing.
