March came in like a lamb. The weather in February was typical, cold and snowy. Let us all pray that March is warmer and drier. A lot of our members are in the South. I understand that weather has been cool there as well. Climate change does exist. Let us hope that all will realize that change in behaviour is necessary for the next generation to have a place to live and grow. February was a busy month for your Council. One key event was the India Fusion party which we hosted. What a fun time. Eve-ryone who attended was dancing and eating and enjoying the party. Congratu-lations to Sundeep, Roberto, Arthur, Brian, Andrew and Conor for making this event a success. Next year we will have A Taste of Mexico. We are now in the season of Lent. Knights can do a lot to support our parishes during this time. Help with collections, help our pas-tors with meetings and projects. Coming up we have the 40 days for life quiet vigil. These days highlight the euthanasia and abortion issues which affect all of us. Join us on March 11 across from OT hospital in support of those who don’t have a say. March 15, Sunday is our annual St Patrick’s Day event. There will be Irish stew, home made brown bread and dancing with Brian or Conor (our own Michael Flatley!) as well as the Gog-
gin School of Irish dancing. It is a super event which all en-joy. We continue to sell the Kof C car and/or money tickets at Oakville Place. Please buy a ticket and help out at the mall. Proceeds go to Knights activities, including a percentage to our Council. Coming up we have a mini retreat planned with Mary Mother of God Council on April 4. Father Todd will be the leader. All are wel-come including your families. April 10 is the annual Good Friday walk. Come out and participate. Mark the date down….. April 19, our community breakfast will take place. Oh what a Night! The stars certainly made an appearance this evening in February. Austin Powers came accompanied by a beautiful gal (who would have doubted him!). The band was fantastic, the food was wonder-ful and everybody got in the groove for the evening. Two hippies served behind the bar and many past grand knights came as many of us fondly remember them!. A big THANK YOU to all who attended, volunteered and sponsored this wonderful
event and we look forward to next years’ extravaganza. More photos on Council Facebook page and in March Ed of Snap’d.

MARIAN LADIES Hi Ladies Spring is almost here and so is our next meeting which will be on Monday May 11th at 6:30pm. Conor has offered to be our bartender for the evening. It will be pot luck, unless you have a better idea. If you any suggestions for entertainment, please let Anita or I know. More to come in the next the news-letter. I would like to encourage all wives and widows to join us. We have a lot fun, usually good food, some-times a glass wine and best of all good friendship. We meet 3 times a year, May September and De-cember. Membership is $10.00 a year and usually paid at the September meeting. Please remember all our members and their families in your prayers. WAY OF THE CROSS WALK Dear Brother Knights and friends in Christ, Our Knights of Columbus Annual Good Friday "Way of the Cross" Walk is happening on April 10, 2020. (Rain, Snow or Sunshine) There will be Good Friday service at 9:30am at the St. Andrew's Parish, followed by the Good Friday walk.
Hot soup, bread and refreshments will be served at around 12:00 noon at St. James Par-ish. We should complete our walk at around 2:30pm. , at Saint Dominics Parish Church on Rebecca Street. You do not have to walk with us for the whole way; you can join us between each station, at each station or at some of the stations, but what better way to enjoy the outdoors and pray at the same time on this com-ing Good Friday. We will have an emergency vehicle on standby should you need to rest, and the staff from the St. John’s Ambulance will also follow us on this trip. On this Good Friday, we listen to the reflections at the various Stations of the Cross, and reflect, how this applies to our own daily lives, and know that Jesus is right beside us when we ask the Lord for help. We ask you all to join us on this walk with Jesus to Calvary. The journey may be long and tiresome, but our faith is strong and participation will always be re-warding. Everyone is welcome. Please park your vehicles at St. Dominic's Parish on the morning of the Walk. Do not park your vehicles at St. Andrew's Par-ish. There will be a number of Limousines to take you and your family to St. Andrew's Church between 7:30am until 8:45am. SCHEDULE: 7:30am to 8:45am - Limousine Shuttle service will be available to take you and you family and friends from St. Dominic's Parish to St. Andrew's Parish. 9:30am - St. Andrew's Catholic Church's Good Friday service will begin with prayer and the blessing of the Holy Cross. 2:30pm - The event concludes at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church. On Saturday April 4th (day before Palm Sunday) Marian Council 3881 and Mary Mother of God Council 14446 are hosting a half day Lenten Spiritual Retreat at Mary Mother of God Parish. The retreat will be led by our Chaplain Father Todd Arsenault from 8:45 am to 1:00 PM. There will be a mass, spiritual reflections, adoration, and confes-sion. A light lunch will be served. Oakville Place - Ticket Sales
Once again we have arranged for several weekend dates where we will be at the Oakville Place selling car
draw tickets. We need your help by volunteering for several hours to help sell
tickets at Oakville Place.
The dates and times are:
Saturday March 21st - 10 am to 1 pm (2 people) and 1 pm to 5 pm (2 people)
Sunday March 22nd - 11 am to 1 pm (2 people) and 1 pm to 4 pm (2 people)
Saturday April 25th - 10 am to 1 pm (2 people) and 1 pm to 5 pm (2 people)
Sunday April 26th 11 am to 1 pm (2 people) and 1 pm to 4 pm (2 people)
Please let me if you can assist. A number of you helped out last year. This is
something you can do with a friend or spouse. Part of the proceeds of the ticket
sales comes back to help out the Council as well.
