Meet our Perfumer | One of Europe’s best kept secrets

Mr. Decoster established HD Fragrances in 2009 with the goal of lending his talents to create

olfactory signatures for the untapped luxury hotel sector. He had noticed that hotels were

missing an opportunity to use a bespoke scent to upscale the quality of their guest toiletries and

ensure guests are welcomed in a refined olfactory environment.

After apprenticing under two well known perfume masters in Grasse, France, he went on to

create hundreds of fragrances for the cosmetic and skin care industry including exclusive high

end perfumes for the fashion houses Scapa of Scotland, Olivier Strelli, and Mer de Nord. Later

he created interior fragrances and perfumed candles for leading interior designers such as

Flamant Interiors and Scapa Home.

Olivier Decoster, the founder of the company, is well known in the perfume world having

established himself over the past 25 years as the creator of exclusive fragrances for some of

Europe's leading hotels, fashion and interior designers.

So who exactly is Rose, the namesake of this collection?

About Rose was chose to epitomize the style of the famous Josephine de Beauharnais,

known also as “Rose from Martinique”. Her beauty and elegance as the Empress of France,
