Observing the Moon
Apollo Landing Site Map from http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/lunar/moon_landing_map.jpg
Even in the light-polluted Dallas-area sky, the Moon is an excellent object to observe with either binoculars or a telescope.
The best evening viewing is between first quarter and full lunar phases. If you want to observe anything in addition to the Moon, first quarter is best!
