and associated members from over 26 countrieswith a budget of
around Euro 340 million, venues with a capacity of 4.5 million
personsand 12 million visitors over all the festival days. Yourope
members are dedicated to improving the European festival scene in
terms of:working conditionshealth and safety issuesenvironmental
awareness and event sustainabilityexchange of knowledge and
informationpromoting the cross-border exchange of live music
talentTheEuropeanFesti val Associ ati onThe overall aim of the
association is to collaborate, share experiences and to pinpoint
areas that would benet from a joint approach.Having gained respect
within the industry and at government level, Yourope also has
thepower to lobby for all legal and industry issues relating to the
European festival industryon behalf of its members and together
with other associations in the live music business.Yourope also
focuses on other key issues for festivals such as exchange of
informationregarding marketing and sponsorship, contracts,
production riders or radio/TV/internet rightsand more.After several
workshops from 2012-2014 and under guidance from music lawyer Ben
Challis,the Yourope standard terms for artist contracts and a
standard agreement are available to use.
YouropeisafoundingpartneroftheEuropeanTalentExchangeProgram(ETEP)andhas
been active during Eurosonic Noorderslag for many years. ETEP
stimulates the circulation of European artists within Europe by
performing at selected festivals troughout Europe. Every year more
than 200 conrmed shows by over 100 unique European artists from at
least 20 countries at the now 85 and counting ETEP festivals!Since
the start of the ETEP programme in 2003 a total of 1970 shows by
708 European artists were presented at the 81 ETEP festivals (2003
2013).
DuetonancialsupportfromtheEuropeanCommissionforthenextyearsEurosonic
Noorderslag, Yourope and all other participating partners will be
able to continue the al- ready successful ETEP program and develop
it. In the next years we will be able to add more festivals and
create more results for the selected ETEP acts and festivals and
work on better opportunities and border breaking carriers for

GroupSince 2006, Yourope has organised over a dozen health &
safety seminars for festival security, safety and crowd management
staff from all over Europe. Headed by a steering committee led by
Chris Kemp from MOM and Henrik Bondo Nielsen from the Roskilde
Festival, the seminars and workshops have had a big impact on
Yourope in recent years. The YES group in cooperation with the
Bucks New University are also pleased to announce the launch of the
Professional Certicate in Event Safety and Security Management. The
18th Yourope Safety Seminar (January 14 and 15, 2015) at the
Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival, Groningen (NL) Yourope members dont
pay admissions or get special discounts!Green n Cl eanGreen issues
mark one of the main topics for Yourope. Since 2006 the association
offers its members a broad range of environmental guidelines for
music festivals and an online tool to go along with them. Festival
organisers are given customised advice and reiceve the prestigious
GreennClean Award by fullling the Yourope standards. So far, almost
40 Yourope members from 14 countries have achieved the award.
GreenOperati onsEuropeYourope is a main contributor and driving
force of the GO Group (Green Operations Europe). It is an
independent, pan-European and cross- industry think-tank to inspire
people in the music festival and events industry to run their
operations greener, smarter and more sustainable.GO Group
stimulates best practise exchange and active communication between
events and suppliers. Several international workshops were
organized in cooperation with hosting Yourope members. Such as 2011

Paris with We Love Green2013 Oslo with Oya Festival2013 Novi Sad
with Exit Festival2014 Vienna with Beatpatrol Festival2014 Roskilde

contributed to the GreenEvents Europe conferences and other
well-established industry gatherings (such as Eurosonic
Noorderslag, Berlin Music Week, Nuits Sonores and Medimex) and will
do so and even more in the future. GO Group is also sponsoring the
Green Operations Award in the European Festival Awards which
highlights festivals that have made a signicant contribution to or
achievement towards developing more sustainable events.Yourope
