Prologue

Anjali: What is the school of love ?

Ishan: We live in the times where love has been

a very ambiguous and vague term. Sacrifice, lust,

obsession, pain, illusion, mistake, betrayal, etc. have

been the definitions of love in most of the cases.Modern lovers consider love as a passionate desire,

emotional attachment, physical intimacy or romance.

Phone calls, chats, messages, emoticons, Facebook

status, Tweets, emails, Skype, Whatsapp, etc have

become the carriers of love. Education, career, money,

social status, glamour, beauty and looks have becomethe stimulators of love.

True, pure and selfless love has been like a fairy-

tale. We are happy and satisfied to experience that love

in movies, music and books. But deep inside our heart,

we feel that no one can love like that in today’s world.

Sometimes, we ourselves don’t want to love anyone

truly, purely and selflessly because of the fear of getting

badly hurt in the end.

Anjali: But then there is love of parents, family,

friends, humanity and above all God. It is true, pure

and selfless love. Isn’t it?

Ishan: Oh yes, definitely but only to some extent.

It’s a bitter fact that there comes a point where evenparents hurt their children for their personal ego, social

status, cultural values or religion. Family members fight

with each other for their own selfish interests and

greed. Friends give priorities to their own problems and

lives. Humanity is lost when it imposes threats over



our personal security. And God? I find tears, sorrows,

miseries, tragedies and pains a lot more in His worldrather than smiles, joys, happiness and laughter.

Anjali: So my philosopher. Please tell me what is

love according to you?

Ishan: Love is power .

Anjali: What kind of power?

Ishan: Power that can either make you the best or worst; power that can either create your destiny or

destroy your identity; and power that can either give

you the courage to do the impossible or fill you with all

the fears of the world.

Anjali: So you mean to say that like everything, even

‘love’ has two sides; the divine side and the devil side.

Ishan: Unfortunately, yes.

Anjali: So what is your school of love going to do?

Ishan: Not my school; our school of love .

Anjali: Oh yes! Our school of love.

Ishan: It will teach kids how to read, write, speak,

understand and enjoy the divine side of love.

Ultimately, one day, when they will step out of theschool, they will spread the divine love and use its

power to make this world a better place to live and

love.

Anjali: That’s really awesome. But I don’t want any

exams in this school. I hate exams.

Ishan: Life and Time will take exams.

Anjali: What will be the name of the school?

Ishan: Look at our names. Where you end, I start;

where I end, you start . Anjali and Ishan will together

open ANJISH – the school of love.

Anjali: Why do you love me so much?

Ishan: Because you are my power.

Anjali: Actually I was born in Punjab; I am Hindu.Since many years I have settled here with my family

in Jalgaon in Maharashtra. I saw your profile, you look

Ishan: I am good. So what are you doing? Anjali: Right now I am finding a good status to post

Ishan: Do you update your status daily?

Anjali: Yes almost daily. If I don’t update then my

friends automatically know that I have not come online.

And you didn’t come online yesterday?Ishan: Yesterday, I got late from office.

Anjali: Hey, I read all your posts on your wall, you

write really well. Why don’t you publish a book of your

writings and poems?

Ishan: Hmm.. May be someday.,

Anjali: Anyways, many girls will be your friends and

fans in your city Surat. You are a MBA, running your

I.T. business, a writer and guitarist. You are like a

complete fun package.

Ishan: Hmm.. So you have gone through my

complete profile. For your kind information, I am not

such a big celebrity. I am just like any other ambitious

guy and I neither have any fan following nor any girlfriend. I am not much interested in all that, I don’t

believe in love and trust anymore.

Anjali: Oh! But if you were here in my town

Jalgaon, many girls would have gone crazy for you. And

why don’t you believe in love?

Ishan: I don’t think there is anything like true, pure

and selfless love. At one point or another, everyone

becomes selfish and no one really cares. Leave that

topic.

Anjali: It’s not like that. Everybody is not same but

it seems you have had enough experience of it.
