In this week’s passage, John moves from who Jesus is to why he
came.
Light is technically defined as "the natural agent that
stimulates sight and makes things visible." In what way is light
vital to our everyday lives?
Why do you think that John and many others throughout Scripture
use the word “light” to describe Jesus?
What are ways you have experienced Jesus' light in your
life?
Read aloud 1 John 1:5-7.
What does it look to be walking in darkness? What is different
between walking in darkness, and being a believer who is going
through a rough time wrestling with sin?
