Gulf War I, 1990-91 made George Bush (senior) a hero but one year later this heroic image was defeated when the ballot boxes opened after 1992 US Presidential election. Bill Clinton, a much younger and relatively with zero foreign affairs experience declared victorious. Canadians surprisingly duplicated the same and gave majority to Justine Trudeau, a much younger and relatively with no experience with the final exception of being a Member of Parliament.

Canadians do not like anger, misrepresentation, wars, policies of intolerance and bad economy, however, the Conservative Government lead by Prime Minister Stephen Harper gave them all. People haven’t seen how Justin will react to pressures and whether he would fulfill the promises he made but they gambled in and gave him an unbelievable majority.

With full honesty, if Justin doesn’t bring 25,000 Syrian refugees by the end of the year (which is next to impossible anyway) people wouldn’t care, if he does or does not stop bombing on ISIS in Syria people wouldn’t care but if the economy turns bad, joblessness rises, manufacturing declines, taxes increase, Canada Pension Plan (CPP) doesn’t work as expected/promised and the university tuition fee increases, people would care and Justin does know that regardless of his age and experience.

Let’s hope that Canadian dollar and Canadian economy remains sustainable, oil prices rise, Canadian Passport bearers feel safer to travel anywhere and Canada (a true peace maker) once again be Canada.

Harper remained in power for about a decade and for that many years in power makes people think indispensable and may turn them dictators. This is the time Justin should move towards adapting maximum two term rule policy as our neighbours do in South.

Justin Trudeau will sworn in as Canadian Prime Minister on November 04, 2015. On behalf of readers, LePolitician wish him a very good luck.

Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways

By Steve Moukas

Canadians have spoken, they gave majority to Liberal Party leader, Justin Trudeau. Most experts believe that Canadians know Trudeau family and they showed trust in him instead of PM

and Conservative Party leader Stephen Harper or National Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair.

In 3 provinces, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and in Newfoundland all other parties were wiped out. Liberals added 150 seats, a party which was compressed to 36 seats in the last election. Conservatives lost 67 seats and NDP lost 59 seats.

When election campaign started Prime Minister Harper’s numbers were good and then NDP rose and then Justin numbers started rising and it continued till the Election Day. Beside a known reason that the people want change, the real reason was the key players leaving the party. Justice Minister Peter MacKay, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, Industry Minister James Moore and sitting MP Eve Adams switching the party. That showed people that the ship is sinking and there is something the Prime Minister is hiding that might come to the surface as soon as the government is elected for example, the outcome of Mike Duffy case or the reason behind the fighter airplanes deal.

Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways

Comparing with personalities, Justine was consistence, positive and focused that raised the bar and gave him the majority which even Liberals were not expecting. Initially almost everyone was predicting NDP government but NDP numbers was not doing very well and Tom Mulcair could not explain how he will bring the money to balance the budget or how he will do a $15 childcare program and what will be the impact on the economy if the hourly labor rate increase and that favored Liberals.

Another reason why Justin won was Conservative’s negative ad campaign targeting him, “Justin Just Not Ready” bounced back when Justin came with an ad answering to those negative ads. Surprisingly, throughout his campaign he remained positive and even in his victory speech he continued, this is what he said, “Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways. This is what positive politics can do.” Justin Trudeau like his father will be the most popular and charismatic leader of Canada. However, running the country would be a real challenge but the selection of a right team to govern would make him a Real National Hero.

Harper has led the country since 2006 and has often been a subject of controversy and division. Most of the country seems to have strong opinions about him and his leadership. As the leader of the Conservative Party and an economist by trade, Harper’s priorities throughout his tenure have appeared to be mostly economic. Some people interpret Harper’s focus upon the economy as detrimental towards other areas of the Canadian society, including the environment, social services, and the international community. First

The environment has been a subject of contention throughout his tenure as Prime Minister. Many people believe that proposed pipelines to transport oil throughout North America are not only harmful and risky to the environment but also disrespectful and unfair to First Nation communities. Many of these pipelines run close to First Nation territories and could disrupt the environment, including hunting and fishing. Throughout his tenure as Prime Minister, Harper’s many decisions have appeared to lack almost any consultation with First Nations people and their leaders at all. This is only one of many issues that First Nation people and communities have with the Conservatives who have been leading the country.

In 2008, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada was launched. The Commission has since released 94 recommended actions meant to help heal the wounds of the First Nation community and help Canada move forth as a more united whole. Harper has promised to study the recommendations, while Mulclair, the leader of the NDP, has vowed to work alongside First Nation people to determine which of the recommendations are best to move forward with. Justin Trudeau, the leader of the Liberal Party, has promised to implement each and every one of the 94 suggested recommendations. Dawn Harvard, president of the Native Women’s Association of Canada and member of Wikwemikong First Nation, has commented, “Going into this election, I’d ask: What is my candidate’s track record? And not just his or her position, but some actual plans. Right now, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is one of the fundamental ways to move forward together and rebuild that relationship and strengthen Canada as a nation, rather than continuing this antagonism. That doesn’t help anybody, and Indigenous peoples are still citizens of Canada. We are still here. We can’t continue to have certain sectors of the country denied basic human rights and basic standards and still feel good about ourselves as Canadians.” It is also important to note that under Harper’s leadership, the Idle No More movement was born and grew to mammoth proportions. Harper’s government ignored

the movement and the people’s many attempts to present their grievances, hardships, and injustices suffered.

Another extremely important issue on Canadians’ minds this election is the devastating pattern of missing and murdered First Nations women. Since 1980, 1181 First Nations women have been reported as missing or murdered. Many Canadians have demanded a national inquiry into this horrifying phenomena. Harper has continually resisted this demand. Obviously his denial has been met with outrage across the country. Both Mulclair and Trudeau have said they will implement an inquiry into the missing and murdered First Nations women and why this has occurred.

In the past, Canadian aboriginals have not had an extremely high voter turnout. Some believe that if First Nations people show up in higher numbers, they have the potential to seriously affect the election’s result. This may be somewhat more difficult this year, as Harper’s government has recently implemented electoral changes that make it very difficult for some individuals, including some First Nations, to register to vote. Historically many First Nations people have viewed the federal electoral system as ineffective and have often opted not to take part. The issue of voting becomes considerably more complicated when Aboriginal sovereignty is brought into question. Many choose not to vote as they identify as a sovereign nation. In light of this election, many First Nation leader’s have stepped forward and urged their people

A First Nations and Canadian Champion

year’s Mrs. Universe pageant, an event open to married women, as its theme was battling domestic violence and child abuse. The champion is a survivor of sexual and physical abuse herself. She looked at the pageant as an opportunity to share her story,

There is no question that Callingbull has emerged as a positive role model since her win. She represents opportunity and success and she is a wonderful example of how far someone can come even when they have had to overcome great obstacles. She also hopes to undermine stereotypes, which surround First Nations women and contestants, and also encourage more First Nations women to get involved in such pageants. But she isn’t stopping there.

Ashley Callingbull has made clear that she is not simply a pretty face who won a beauty pageant. In fact, she has made clear that this was not that type of competition at all and that the contestant’s physical appearance is not a part of the consideration. Instead, she took every opportunity to showcase her culture. For the talent portion of the competition, she performed a traditional song and wore a white buckskin dress. She also wore a traditional jingle dress during the competition. She truly embraced who she is and her background throughout the competition.

A new Mrs. Universe was crowned at the annual competition hosted in Belarus on August 29th. This year’s competition brought about two historic firsts: the winner was both a Canadian and a First Nations woman! Ashley Callingbull (married name: Burnham) is a member of the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta and has participated in several pageants previously, including the 2010 Miss Canada competition. She was especially drawn to this

Since her win, Callingbull has swept the nation, trending on twitter, blowing up on instagram, and featured on many major news outlets. She has also taken advantage of her many interviews to voice her opinions and concerns about the country. The day after her win, Callingbull tweeted, “I urge all First Nations people in Canada to vote in this upcoming election. We are in desperate need of a new PM. Fight for your rights.” When people criticized the move, she spoke out again, “Really? People think I’m too political for my first day as Mrs. Universe. Did you really think I was going to just sit there and look pretty? Definitely not. I have a title, a platform and a voice to make change and bring awareness to First Nations issues here in Canada. I’m getting all this media attention and I’m going to use it to the best of my ability. I’m not your typical beauty queen. Look out… I have a voice for change and I’m going to use it!” It’s clear that Callingbull won’t allow her win to be the end of her great accomplishments; she obviously wants to inspire great change and utilize her power in a positive way.

When asked about her decision to speak out, she responded, “First Nations people are always put on the back burner. Our issues are never important. I’ve talked to a few politicians and they’ve all said that to me… It drives me crazy because we are the first people of Canada. We are as important as anyone else.” Callingbull’s opinions certainly mirror many other opinions across the country. First Nations people are publically crying out for a greater Aboriginal voter.

In October last year (2014) former

Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird

visited Saudi Arabia, where he met

with senior leaders to discuss key

bilateral, regional and security issues,

particularly efforts to combat the

heinous actions of the so-called

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

(ISIL). Here are further details.

“ISIL is a threat, and not just

to Canada and Saudi Arabia,”

said Baird. “Canada’s security is

inextricably linked to that of other

countries; that’s why we have joined

Saudi Arabia in the United States-led

international coalition taking part in

Baird had a constructive and wide-ranging discussion with His Royal Highness (former) Crown Prince (now His Majesty the King) Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. On the situation of human rights, Baird noted the increased participation of women in Saudi Arabian society, including the important role they have assumed within the Shura Council, and encouraged continued progress in this positive direction.

Baird discussed many regional and global issues, including the situations in Iraq and Yemen, with his

friend and counterpart, His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal, including Saudi Arabia’s role in Yemen.

“Canada appreciates the role of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in providing leadership and support to Yemen during the country’s political transition,” Baird said.

Baird also met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, Minister of Interior, and Iyad Ameen Madani, Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. During the visit, Baird toured a de-radicalization centre in Saudi Arabia.

Something was cooking, John wouldn’t visit Saudi Arabia for such a simple reason and now absolutely stunning revelations surfaced that a company in Ontario would be supplying over 15 billion dollars worth of armoured vehicles to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is a country that has been criticised helping some Muslim organizations in the country and has been committing serious human rights violations within Saudi Arabia.

“ISILperverts the peaceful message of Islam with its barbaric methods,”

Baird said.We recognize the value of

Saudi Arabia’s domestic de-radicalization work and its investments in international counter-terrorism efforts.”

During French language debate in Montreal Bloc Quebecois leader, Gilles Duceppe asked Harper, “We must realize that its ideology was financed and promoted by Saudi Arabia, and we are sending billion worth of arms to Saudi Arabia. Would it not be sensible to say that’s enough, we’re stopping arms sales to Saudi Arabia? Wouldn’t that be logical, given our fight with ISIS?” In reply, Harper said that cancelling the deal would punish Canadian workers. Duceppe have no chance to win and in last election he even lost his seat but it is harming

National Democratic Party (NDP) of Tom Mulcair who swiped Bloc Quebecois. NDP is dropping in polls every day since the debate and Bloc Quebecois who is scoring against Niqab is rising in polls. That will bring Liberal Party of Canada as the 2nd party and Harper’s Conservative

Party will jump to the top.

Justin Trudeau’s position is not clear on this issue nor his acts, for example, he was criticising Harper on Bill C-51 and then he voted for. His late father and Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau did visit Saudi Arabia in 1980 and did dance with Saudis in a desert and did wear Saudi head covering with his son Alexandere Trudeau.

RUSSIA IN SYRIA

– Understanding Putin’s MotivesRecent presidential elections in the once Soviet country of Belarus have once again caused the world to reexamine the potential motives of Soviet pastimes. President Alexander Lukashenko was elected to a fifth term with an astonishing 83% of the vote, or so it is reported. Honored with the title of “Europe’s last dictator,” many consider his rule to be the one thing keeping Putin at bay after the Ukrainian conflict. Russia notoriously has a boiling hatred for both the European Union and NATO, and Lukashenko is the ironic peacemaker who manages to keep a relationship with both the Kremlin and the European Union.

Page 26: Longest election Ashley - Midland Publishers Incmidlandpublishers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Lepolitician-Sep… · Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair. In 3 provinces, Nova Scotia,

26

As we begin to question the recent motives of Putin in the Middle Eastern Conflict, we must first gain an understanding of the

Soviet mentality he holds so dear. Belarus displays this sentiment perfectly, with KGB security forces, propaganda and even a state controlled economy. Inside sources continue to tell us that despite Russia’s economic downturn, their surveillance rivals that of the NSA in the United States. Lukashenko saw clearly, as the annexation of Crimea moved forward, that Russia’s soviet mindset had caused the country to welcome conflict in the interest of pursuing old Soviet interests. He was quick to come out in support of a unified Ukraine, stating that he would not hesitate to fight Putin should the conflict spread to his door. He needed only to make a promise of unity, and offer a dose of propaganda, to gain the support needed for his reelection. Similarly, although Putin’s economy continues to contract with low energy prices and recession, his approval rating remains at a historically high 89%.

It isn’t just the approval ratings that scream propaganda and Soviet mindset, however. Russia previously provided generous economic support to Belarus with oil subsidies. Though it has almost no oil of its own, the country is one of the top ten exporters in the world thanks to Russia, who saved Belarus an estimated $12 million annually before the conflict. In short, this has led to a “close relationship or else,” mindset as those who aren’t as close to Mother Russia find themselves paying more for oil just so she can support old Soviet buddies.

So what does this have to do with the Middle East?

The Middle Eastern conflict isn’t just about ISIS, as much as Putin may want us to believe. First of all, the recent Iran deal with the United States will soon mean that Iran will emerge from the turmoil of sanctions with its huge gas exports. As Putin’s economic crisis worsens, he cannot afford to lose this ally. Egypt’s strategic placement also makes it a must for Putin’s

long term foreign policy, as Russia has contracted to build a nuclear reactor in the country while supporting Assad’s regime. Trading of arms, natural gas and nuclear energy could be real motives for the Kremlin as they desperately seek economic solutions for their recession. In addition, it’s worth noting that Egypt could very well be Russia’s strongest ally militarily, and

Page 27: Longest election Ashley - Midland Publishers Incmidlandpublishers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Lepolitician-Sep… · Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair. In 3 provinces, Nova Scotia,

27

it’s also the most populous country in the Middle East. With all of this considered, Russia has no choice but to support Egypt in order to preserve Soviet hopes and mindsets.

We’ve Been Here BeforeAbout 45 years ago, Soviet Russia came rushing to the side of Egypt in the 1969 Israeli-Egyptian War of Attrition. Much like today, the move was largely thought to prevent a regime change, and Soviet Russia had interests to protect in Egypt that they directly fought the Israelis to protect. Declassified CIA memo’s discussed the codependence of the two countries during this time, but also remarked that each of them endured hardships due to the partnership. It’s worth noting that Russia is not a country who shies from hardship if the big picture appears beneficial. Propaganda ensures approval ratings remain high and reduce the risk of uprising, and Russia has proven before that it would rather collapse than surrender. One thing is certain: Russia will not stand for its pride to be harmed. In fact, when one factors in the frozen conflicts Russia has engaged with Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, it is easy to see that they often will fund both sides in order to maintain control of a frozen conflict.

What’s Happening Now?As stated above, Russia’s presence in Egypt is crucial for the nuclear power it seeks to export. Russia and Egypt reached an agreement for the country’s first reactor, and Russia has since launched airstrikes said to be directed at ISIS, aiding Egypt with a whopping $2 billion worth of fighter aircrafts. Just last month, Egypt discussed purchasing $3.5 billion in arms from Russia. In addition, contracts have also already been awarded to begin supplying Egypt with natural gas and petroleum.

Of course, declaring these economic reasons would lead to nothing short of more sanctions, humanitarian concerns and more economic turmoil. To disguise it all as part of a global effort to defeat ISIS makes

the cause seem more sincere and gives it a global backing. In fact, when the strikes first began, US backed coalitions were attacked and ISIS was strengthened. Many sources, however, are now reporting that Russia’s strikes have wiped out most of the ammunition used by ISIS. This is not thought to be a result of more accurate firings, however, but rather the result of firings that are widespread and wiping out entire areas that include ISIS fighters as well as civilians. According to the Syrian Observatory for

Human Rights, more than one third of the casualties resulting from Russia’s strikes were not combatant, but civilian. This policy has caused more refugees to flee than previously, and is expected to eventually escalate the conflict if ISIS is not effectively removed.Put simply, Russia is just now starting to regain its Soviet mindset that Putin has longed for since day one. The annexation of Crimea into Russia propelled the country into sanctions it did not mind, but the continued effects have been almost detrimental to the Kremlin’s economy. Any goals that Putin has remaining cannot be pursued without first reestablishing and supporting old soviet allies. It appears Putin is using the Soviet playbook, quite literally, in an effort to restart its economy without cutting any losses. If the plays prop up the economy of Mother Russia, however, neighboring countries who have already experienced Russian aggression can expect it to increase, and Russia can expect NATO at its door.

Across the globe, most of us have seen pictures of grieving mothers as they place their children on boats for hope of a better tomorrow. As the

European continent welcomes the almost half a million refugees that have come by sea just this year, we are reminded that fleeing the conflicts in the Middle East comes with great cost. First, there is the cost of fleeing, which many cannot afford, especially for entire families. Second, the countries accepting refugees must set aside costs for food, shelter, and safety of the refugees. Lastly, the most heartbreaking cost of all, the humanitarian cost, was seen when the world saw the fate of Aylan Kurdi, a toddler whose lifeless body was discovered on a Turkish beach after his family’s failed attempt at seeking asylum in Canada forced them to try for the hope they never reached in Greece.

CRISIS:THE HIDDEN COSTS AND MISSING THE BIG PICTURE

At first, many criticized those who split their families to send children across open seas into lands unseen by their parents. As the conflicts grew, however, the world began to see the sacrifices these families were being forced to make. Kurdi’s family in particular was reportedly charged 4,000 euros for the passage to Greece from Turkey. Those in Syria generally must get to Turkey before going further, so the costs can become quite high. Turkey now hosts almost half of the displaced Syrian refugees, who are fleeing up to 15 documented conflicts from surrounding areas. The crisis is considered the greatest of its kind since World War II, with more people fleeing their homes across the globe now than ever recorded in history.

COST OF FLEEING

The migrants’ journeys are all but easy. They are often sold overpriced tickets for spots on inflatable dinghies, which capsize and become deadly very easily. There is almost no room for possessions, and even those who bring few possessions are often forced to throw them overboard along the journey to lower the boats weight. This means the migrants often arrive in Europe with absolutely nothing. Reports from inside Turkey concerning the price of fleeing vary greatly. Passage to Greece is reportedly around $1300 from Turkey, though the smuggling business is all but struggling. Add a few thousand dollars and documents can be prepared or even forged for easier entry, migrants can purchase safer transportation or even bypass guards at borders. Of course, none of these options come with a money back guarantee, and many lose their lives making the journey, regardless of the financial cost.

It’s also worth noting that these prices, when put in a global perspective, are catastrophic for some. Reliable unemployment data is virtually nonexistent due to ongoing conflicts, but it’s estimated that the average salary is around $50 per month in Syria. This often means entire families cannot depart together, and this cost is leaving an estimated eight million people still displaced inside Syrian borders.

The high cost of fleeing has also presented a new problem: returning refugees. Often, when the migrants can’t afford the journey to Europe, they choose areas such as Jordan instead. Once in Jordan, however, they are faced with economic hardship. The United Nations now estimates that of the 629,000 registered refugees in Jordan, 86% of them live on less than $96 a month. To place the numbers in perspective, it isn’t unusual for the cost of living to be five times this amount in the area. No food vouchers or free medical care is provided. Because Jordan does not provide the same benefits as European countries, many are giving up and returning to Syria, where they claim they at least have homes or family. In fact, the latest records suggest that up to 100 people return to Syria every day. Those who return often lose the opportunity to escape again.

Cost of Hosting REFUGEESIn 2013, Germany spent about 12,500 euros per year for each refugee. This year, the country is expected to spend almost 11 billion on Chancellor Angela Merkel’s policies, which are largely welcoming to those seeking refugee status. Merkel, who has been criticized for her spending on the crisis, has stated that she sees the crisis as a major humanitarian concern. In fact, she has publicly stated that the country has handled its finances well in previous years, and sees no need to increase taxes in order to do what she views as the common good. Germany is expected to welcome one million new comers this year.

Most refugees recognize countries such as Germany who welcome them with open arms. Of course, as bright as the future seems for them in Europe, their eyes are still on their very own neighbors who have betrayed them. “The Gulf States should be ashamed for not taking in their own people,” said Azad, an International Student from Azerbaijan. “Culture clashes could be stressful,” he stated, adding that Muslims who may not adapt well to European values should still have a refuge. In fact, his concerns are already coming to light in areas of Germany overwhelmed by refugees.

In Stuttgart, Germany, Sandra Reisser said neighbors are growing overwhelmed by the large number of migrants coming to the area. She recalled the story of a friend in Greece whose vineyard was robbed by hungry migrants, and as a wine maker, he suddenly had nothing. “With what Greece is already facing, this is simply too much,” she said. Neighbors are concerned that some of what they see in Greece may be a sign of things to come in their own towns. “Our government is starting to admit we can’t do this,” she said nervously, as she spoke about the hospitality she hoped her country could show to particularly women and children affected by the conflict. “They want to stay here,” she said, adding that the generous stipends help them get back on their feet much more quickly than in other refugee areas. It seems

Page 32: Longest election Ashley - Midland Publishers Incmidlandpublishers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Lepolitician-Sep… · Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair. In 3 provinces, Nova Scotia,

the attitude among neighborhoods in the Stuttgart area are those of hopeful compassion, but also worry. They worry what will happen if the conflict doesn’t end soon, if their cultures clash with their neighbors’ vastly different ones, or worse, if the area being fled is left to be undefended against the spreading terror.Humanitarian Cost

Across the globe, people

are proclaiming that this should

be seen as a humanitarian

issue. After all, the women and children separated

from their families are running from one of the most horrifying terrorist organizations the world

has ever seen, ISIS. While entire books could be written about their horrific acts of beheadings, torture, rape and even child sex slavery, ISIS

somehow manages to have more control than Al Qaeda ever could’ve dreamt of having.

To make things more complicated, the chess game of allies makes it unclear to the average person just exactly who is fighting ISIS, and who is using them for personal political agendas. For example, just last month, Russia announced it would begin air strikes in an effort to destroy the Islamic State. What has since happened however, has confused the global community. At one point, Russia had attacked forces supported by the United States effort, and even reportedly strengthened ISIS. It quickly became clear that Russia’s motive was simply to preserve the rule of Assad, not eliminate terror.

Putin’s air strikes began taking entire villages instead of targeting direct rulers or specific targets, greatly worsening the overall safety of all of those in Syria. This is expected to worsen the migrant crisis, and has even begun creating problems in Turkey, who hosts the most Syrian refugees, as their air space has been violated multiple times for the sake of Russia’s unclear “mission.” This has even led to an intervention from NATO. Now, with the recent bombings in Ankara, Turkey being the deadliest in the country’s history, many who once felt safe in Turkey will likely be trying harder to flee.

In fact, the region in general is declining rapidly. To better understand the conflict as it is occurring on the ground, we spoke to John Frost, who works as part of a mission that supervises security provisions. He has stated that his concerns for the regions are growing daily. “ISIL views attacking us as a means of getting back at the Egyptian government,” stated Frost. “Here in Egypt, about half the population of the city next to us has been displaced or killed due to fighting between ISIS and the Egyptian military.” The humanitarian concern grows as the conflict

32

Page 33: Longest election Ashley - Midland Publishers Incmidlandpublishers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Lepolitician-Sep… · Democratic Party leader Tom Mulcair. In 3 provinces, Nova Scotia,

becomes more severe. “Many are caught between ISIS and the Government, and neither one seem to care who they kill if they get in their way,” Frost said, as he described many eventful nights in the area when he and many alongside him feared for their lives.

As he described the 3000 homes destroyed by Egypt to create a buffer zone in the Gaza Strip, one really has to wonder just where Putin’s motives lie with supporting Assad. In fact, many of the weapons Frost has encountered have been of Russian origin. To make matters worse, Frost mentioned something not yet discussed much among main stream media: Russia’s agreement for a nuclear reactor in Egypt.

33

So why isn’t the media covering this complex chess game of foreign relations that seems to be just a few moves from checkmate? “Most of the media is very regulated by the countries where these events are happening,” Frost claims. “Most of what I see will never make the news,” he said, as he added that there are times when that can be a positive and healthy view to prevent worry. “It also prevents people from seeing the big picture,” Frost said.

Overall, Frost is right. The lack of information behind this complicated crisis based on age old conflicts and broken ceasefires is a real concern. We cannot simply leave the Middle East as an empty, abandoned land where terror won. In order to solve it, however, we must see the bigger picture, as well as the hidden costs.

MarijuanaISSUE- IN CANADA

Marijuana in Canada

has hit the news several times. The question is whether to legalize, decriminalize or ban it all the same. There are those

who swear by it and those that swear against it. However, one thing is for sure and that is that this is the

most abused, or is it used, drug in the world.

It is easy to grow, process and use. Well, even its effects catch on fast. It has great medicinal value, but by the virtue of that alone,

you do not want this legalized. It may cause much more trouble later.

In Canada, the legality, or illegality of marijuana is under dispute. In fact, it is under dispute in many countries, even in Africa. Are its cons more than its pros? Well, how would I know and I have never used it. However, even politicians have been smoking dope and we know it. If it aint bad for lawmakers, surely it can’t be bad for us commoners, can it?

The laws of Canada regarding Marijuana are very lax, and they might as well make it legal. Cultivation of the hemp plant under the cannabis genus is allowed under license only. It can only be cultivated for research or for medical purposes. However, this makes you wonder whether the guys who grow it

for the medical and research bodies don’t smoke themselves silly. Otherwise, how would you know the grade was ok? Taste buds tell it all.

The estimated numbers of marijuana users are about 3.8 million in the country. If you are smart, you must know that there are now more than double that, well, plus the three musketeers: Justine Trudeau, leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. He is not alone. There are others. Kethleen Wynne, leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, Rob Ford have confirmed that they smoked marijuana many times. Well, there, you it, so long for lawmakers debating the law of hashish and hashish oil use in Canada.

The estimated numbers of marijuana

users are about

3.8 million in the country.

Marijuana use legalized in some states in AmericaIn America, states vote individually on issues like this, but in Canada, it would have to be voted for from a whole federal front. Going by the trend, well, you know how it goes, if America has already started, then other countries will start following suit and Canada is somewhere, swinging like a pendulum, but we know where it will eventually stop. If a former mayor of Toronto city smokes dope, well, you have got it. Even the little jonnies down the alley will follow suit, that is, if they are not already doing it.

It is all apolitical thing in Canada, and it will eventually come to who can lobby more for support. The liberal party used the legalization of marijuana as their campaign platform. They fan already smell victory on that front from afar. The Conservatives, well, always conservative about issues voted to have the penalty more severe, while the democrats voted to have marijuana decriminalized but not legalized. Now, the Democrats are conniving, and eventually, they just want to stamp their foot on having the whole thing made legal. Decriminalize but not legalize? How? Ask those guys who use hashish and hashish oil and they will tell you that if it is not criminal, well, most probably, its legal.

To date, Canadian youth have the honor of the first place in the developed world. It doesn’t seem to be doing them much harm anyway and instead of smoking it sneakily, they could as well smoke it in the open, when we make it legal.

The liberals, calling for legalization argue that if legalized, marijuana would then be sold at a 40 percent lower price than what it goes for in the streets. This would be great for getting rid of organized crime in the cities, as any user can now afford whatever they needed.

Other advanced countries in the world have already decriminalized many drugs. For example, Italy, Spain and Germany have decriminalized all drugs. Now, Liberals argue that Canada is out of touch with what is happening internationally and that the debate over the decriminalization or legalization of marijuana is long overdue.

What does decriminalization

mean?It means that it would be ok

for one to possess a little amount of marijuana, maybe

for personal use, but they cannot hold large amounts

of the same and they cannot sell as that would be

considered peddling.

Hard to believe, that is true but this is what they eat and live healthy. Is it costly? not at all, just consume less and avoid things taste well but spoil your body. The last tip when you are hungry don’t eat, eat when the time comes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, nothing in between, all those theories are wrong. Buy less eat less do not buy more and eat more.

Once again 24 hours feeling a “little bit hungry” is better to control your body and if you have good control of your body your subordinates will follow your instructions because you will tell them what to do with nice and healthy selection of the words

A doctor wrote a letter to his son ending with this line, “Son, a healthy brain exists only in a healthy body”. That is true for a good decision making person a good brain is the key.

Every day we see that beautiful athletic bodies all of a sudden expand disproportionally. If you ask a question, “what happened”? The reply would be, “I don’t know”. The fact is that some people live for eating but smart people eat enough to live.

We eat what tastes good and what tastes good is not often healthy. For example, hot dog carts in front of high scale office buildings mint money they finish everything in the card in few hours. A five cent hot dog sells for two dollars. Who eats hot dog and sausages, educated executives knowing that hot dogs and sausages contains all the left overs in the food processing factories but it tastes good and they eat. How your brain would function sharply when it’s not healthy. There must be something alternate to hot dogs, fried French fries, sausages, cold meat and other sandwiches left in the freezer God knows for how many days. Absolutely, here is what healthy executives eat 365 days, with the final exception of those business dinners and lunches they have to.
