UCI Summer Session partners with the Academic Internship Council (AIC) to provide you with internship placements in various industries plus comprehensive support including:

• Guiding you to discover what industry and projects will best suit your interests, skills, and goals through one on one advising via phone and skype

• Professional development workshops to prepare you for your internship

• Support and guidance from on-site directors during the internship

ACADEMICS: SOC SCI 197. Professional Internship (Online Course)Pre-requisites: NoneStudents apply classroom knowledge through research projects in nonprofit agencies (local, state, and government) and the private sector. They pose solutions to agency-posed questions. Students gain field experience through completing approved number of internship hours.

HOUSING and FIELD EXCURSIONS Students will live in housing arranged by the AIC. Housing is within commuting distance to their internship placements. Students will also get the opportunity to meet other interns from various universities across the globe and participate in trips and excursions planned by the AIC.
