The Konica Minolta philosophy is to stay ahead by constantly creating and developing state-of-the art technology in order to meet every new challenge in the production printing market.

A number of years ago, Konica Minolta launched its very own toner technology to guarantee a truly outstanding image quality on the complete range of Konica Minolta output systems. The use of Simitri®HD+ polymerised toner is exclusive to our advanced digital production presses and multifunctional bizhub systems, and is the proven com-bination to produce perfect output anytime. The resulting toner particles are substantially smaller and have a more uniform shape than anything a conventional production process by pulverisation can accomplish.

■ With its minuscule, uniformly shaped toner particles, Simitri®HD+ polymerised toner achieves an image quality second to none. Razor-sharp text and lines, a smooth finish and an unparalleled colour fade resistance are just some of its characteristics.

■ The HC toner is the latest Konica Minolta devel-opment, derived from the Simitri®HD technology. It features much higher colour saturation and impresses with its ability to reproduce a larger por-tion of the sRGB gamut than previously possible.

Konica Minolta CS Remote Care, Service

Round-the-clock availability of equipment is essential for print providers and commercial printers alike. Downtime of output devices must be minimised, productivity maximised and routine maintenance planned in accordance with production schedules, i.e. at the printer’s convenience. The CS Remote Care concept is the basis for maximising system availability of Konica Minolta’s digital presses and production systems.

CS Remote Care provides state-of-the-art machine-to-machine communication (M2M) between output devices and the Konica Minolta service organisation. The remote connection relays all relevant system data in real time, advising the service side early of routine maintenance or any other required intervention, e.g. to rectify a technical problem.

The most advanced production printing system is of little benefit if, for example, a simple paper processing problem prevents the printing company from meeting its deadlines. Konica Minolta’s Customer Maintenance Support (CMS) concept enables print providers and commercial printers to carry out preventive system care without requiring tech-nical assistance from Konica Minolta – a situation that reduces potential irregularities as well as system downtimes enormously.

A skilled operator can easily rectify most of the technical reasons for these types of production stops. To prepare them for the task, the key operators participate in comprehensive training on preventive system care and CMS parts replacement.
