Can You Actually Deliver The Goods ?If you say you are going to teach people to sing - can you actually do that, or is it just a ploy to get them

through the door ?Do you say that you are going to teach

them how to sing ‘Barbershop Harmony’ or 4 Part Harmony ?

Do you want just experienced singers or will you accept

newcomers as well?

Advertising Tips

Harmony Lincs

Make it appear possible for them to sing in 4-part harmony even if they haven’t

done it before.Exploit the possibility of free / cheap

advertising opportunities such as Parish & Village Magazines, local radio (BBC) &

Local Authority…..Seek Local Authority support, even if

not financial as it gives a sense of credibility.

New 10-week course for male voices will show you how – and it’s FREE!

This is your first step in taking part in a ground-breaking experience here inthe city of Lincoln.Harmony Lincs, supported by the City Of Lincoln Council will be hosting aFREE course for male voices on singing in 4-part harmony.Whether you are already a regular singer or a newcomer to the art, thiscourse is for you.

Are you a regular singer? As a regular singer you may already be singing within a choir or othergroup – or perhaps you haven’t been active for a while. Whatever, if youfancy trying something different this may be the very thing you are lookingfor, giving an insight to the world of 4-part harmony. To savour the magicof the ringing chord.

Perhaps you are a newcomer to singing? Our 10-weeker will definitely benefit you. We will help you discover yourvoice and gain confidence. Don’t worry if you aren’t too hot on musicalnotation and can’t read music. Our simple teaching methods will help youto learn a song quickly. You’ll be ringing those chords before you know it.

So, what’s the catch? There isn’t one! Harmony Lincs and its national association have a policyfor encouraging more men to take up singing as a hobby. Along with otherchoral associations and singing groups, we recognise that it is important toget more men back into singing. Our aim is to give you that opportunity.

The Tutors:Richard Curtis – An accomplished musician whose experiencespans many years in the world of close harmony singing.

Tony Chapman – An established singer and director within theaccapella (unaccompanied singing) scene both in the UK andNorth America.
