Food
• Under the Medieval system, land was split into strips.
• Used the crop rotation system.
• Grew things in warmer seasons while raising live stock year round
Dress
• Sleeves were long, bodices tight and skirts were bell-shaped
• sewing machine in the late 1800s revolutionized the clothing industry

• Most people were farmers.
• Mining became popular at the end of the 1800s.
