2011 uprising in Libya Can you imagine a country in the 21st century that prohibits its citizens from

learning computers and English so that they cannot communicate with theoutside world. There is so much oil in the country and so much foreign

exchange coming in that if properly spent the country will be more advancedthan perhaps the most advanced Arab country - if not Europe. After allGaddafi only has to look after 6.5 million people spread over a vast Africannation. but Railway lines are still being laid in projects that started in the1980s. Roads are still laid only on paper. There is a systematic effort toignore the development of the eastern part of the country.

Hundreds of Libyans protested demanding that Gadhafi steps down andasking for political and economic reform. The protests are believed to havebeen inspired by the revolutions that took place in Tunisia and Egypt.

    2011 uprising in Egypt

The grooming of Gamal Mubarak to be his father's successor as thenext president of Egypt became increasingly evident at around the

year 2000. With no vice-president, and with no heir-apparent in sight,Gamal started enjoying considerable attention in the Egyptian media.Bashar al-Assad's rise to power in Syria in June 2000 just hours afterHafez al-Assad's death, sparked a heated debate in the Egyptianpress regarding the prospects for a similar scenario occurring in Cairo.

Both President Mubarak and his son denied the possibility of any

inheritance of power in Egypt, although this was widely speculated. Most recently, this claim was made in early 2006, when GamalMubarak declared repeatedly that he has no aspiration to succeed hisfather, but that he will maintain his position.

    2011 uprising in Egypt

For 30 years, the people of Egypt have been economically andpolitically oppressed by the dictatorship of President Hosni Mubarak.

The majority of Egyptians today are under 30 years old and 40% liveon $2 or less per day. Jobs are scarce, poverty is high, people arepersecuted for speaking their mind and the future remains bleak.

Meanwhile, during that time, Egypt was given $1.5 billion a year inforeign aid and Mubarak has amassed a $70 billion fortune. For the

first two weeks, tens of thousands protesting for regime change werepeaceful. Then Mubarak sent in the goon squad, disguised as citizens, using violence to break up and discredit the movement. It backfired. Now hundreds of thousands are participating.

Libya, Egypt whos NEXT ? Throughout our modern history we have heard about a "Domino effect," this

inspired wars in Indochina in the 1960's, the age of military dictatorships inLatin America in the 1970's, and the collapse of Communism in the late

1980's. 2011 is the year of revolt in the Middle East, and perhaps beyond, but the big question remains which countries may fall like dominoes afterthe successful revolts in Tunisia, and Egypt?

The Problems like Unemployment, Corruption, lack of freedom, allegeddiscrimination also persists in other countries like : Bahrain

    Iran Algeria

    Yemen

    The Gulf States, etc

    Lastly, DEMOCRACY is BEST :
