The following laser notice labels may be affixed to this printer.

Laser noticeThe printer is certified in the U.S. to conform to the requirements of DHHS 21 CFR Subchapter J for Class I (1)laser products, and elsewhere is certified as a Class I laser product conforming to the requirements of IEC60825-1.

Class I laser products are not considered to be hazardous. The printer contains internally a Class IIIb (3b) laserthat is nominally a 5 milliwatt gallium arsenide laser operating in the wavelength region of 770-795 nanometers.The laser system and printer are designed so there is never any human access to laser radiation above a ClassI level during normal operation, user maintenance, or prescribed service condition.

Laserprodukte der Klasse I gelten als unschdlich. Im Inneren des Druckers befindet sich ein Laser der KlasseIIIb (3b), bei dem es sich um einen Galliumarsenlaser mit 5 Milliwatt handelt, der Wellen der Lnge 770-795Nanometer ausstrahlt. Das Lasersystem und der Drucker sind so konzipiert, da im Normalbetrieb, bei derWartung durch den Benutzer oder bei ordnungsgemer Wartung durch den Kundendienst Laserbestrahlung,die Klasse I bersteigen wrde, Menschen keinesfalls erreicht.

Laserinformatie

1. General information

The Lexmark X54x series are color laser MFPs that combine print, scan, copy, and fax functions.The X54x series are the ideal MFPs for presentations, business graphics, line art, and text. They uselaser diode electrophotographic technology to deliver remarkable quality print images and text. Thescan and copy functions work with A4, letter, and legal (ADF only) size paper. Photographic qualityimages are possible with scan function. The FAX function delivers a wide range of functionality to theoffice user. The MFPs can be used as shared network or desktop devices.

Print quality

During the life of the printer, components are subject to wear based on usage. Printers continuously operating ator near the maximum duty cycle may require service for replacement of these components to ensure high-quality printing and good performance throughout the life of the printer. Replacement is recommended every60,000 pages for the fuser and 60,000 pages for the ITU. Replacement is recommended every 30,000 pages forthe imaging unit.
