INTRODUCTION

Founded in 1987, DRIVING DYNAMICS is a leader in corporate driver training. On any

given day, we are conducting multiple Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) training programs,

instructing students online, providing one-on-one training and helping businesses

evaluate their fleet safety needs throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico

and beyond. Our unique results-oriented, highly effective approach to driver training

enables fleet-based operations to achieve and sustain substantial reductions in

accident rates, in some cases as much as a 60% rate reduction.

METHODOLOGY

DRIVING DYNAMICS courses utilize the theory that 90% of crashes can be avoided

when a driver has just one more second to react and knows what to do with that

additional one second. This course focuses on development of the three critical driving

competencies, each alone can give a driver that needed one second: eye technique,

braking technique, and steering technique. These safety foundations are stressed

both in the classroom through cognitive recognition and in specific driving exercises

through practice and repetition in a progressive manner.

During driving exercises students put into practice the advanced safety techniques

introduced during each classroom segment. These included advanced visual, steering,

braking and skid control methods. First and foremost, the curriculum is designed to

help drivers avoid hazardous situations but it also enables drivers to competently deal

with real world driving realities; emergency lane change, crash avoidance and skid

control are also mastered during exercise segments. By the conclusion of this

program, the driver has been taught and practiced the skills required to be a safer,

more proficient driver.

RESOURCES

DRIVING DYNAMICS is uniquely equipped with resources to conduct driver training in

over two hundred locations throughout the U.S. Canada and Puerto Rico on a regular

basis. These classes are held in hi-tech, state-of-the-art mobile classrooms. Each

classroom is equipped with multimedia presentation capabilities, as well as a generator

for electrical power, heat and air conditioning, restrooms and running water. All of the

equipment and supplies required to set up the driving course, as well as the DRIVING

DYNAMICS’ Patented Slide Car are carried within the mobile classroom when traveling.

I had an encounter today that made me grateful for the driving training we received from Driving Dynamics. Given today’s snow, the roads were rather slick. I was on a two lane highway behind 3 other vehicles. Because of the training I had increased my following distance, and I was looking further down the road. I noticed that the lead car had stopped to make a left-hand turn. The second vehicle didn’t notice this and tail-ended the turning car. It shoved the first car forward. The second vehicle was then hit by the third car in line and was pushed off the road to the right. By looking further down the road, I was able to observe all of this as well as notice on-coming traffic. I picked my escape lane to the right of the third car. I maneuvered around it by going off the road. However, I continued to steer through the hazard and moved back onto the road avoiding the second car which was off the road. My truck came to a controlled stop on the road between the first and third cars. I don’t know if I would have navigated this so easily if I hadn’t gained an extra second as taught to me by your instructors by increasing my following distance and focusing further down the road.

TUITION: Level I - One-Day Open Enrollment DRIVING DYNAMICS Behind-The-Wheel Advanced Performance, Driver Safety Training Course. 60% BTW hands-on exercises - 40% classroom training. Eye Technique, Braking Fundamentals, Safe Driving Responsibilities including Avoiding Distractions, Vehicle Dynamics, Accident Avoidance, Driving Exercises & Controlled Slide Car. Training Times – Students arrive at 7:30AM for registration, class begins promptly at 8:00AM. Training wrap-up and dismissal is no later than 4:00PM. Sufficient time is allowed during lunch break to check voicemail and to make calls. Vehicle Requirements – Company, personal or rental vehicle equipped with ABS brakes. Up to two students may share a vehicle. Student Requirements – Proof of valid driver’s license and insurance coverage. Clothing should be comfortable and weather-appropriate with proper footwear. Sandals are not recommended. Fee - $475 per student. Includes:
