Dear Mr. Moore,
Please accept this letter as an official notification of
allegations made by an external booster clubmember, Sam Breaux,
regarding the mishandling of booster club funds by an employee
ofCPSB. Breaux contacted the Intemal Auditing department and a
subsequent internal review wasconducted. Documentation provided by
Breaux was reviewed and interviews were conducted.lntemal control
procedural deficiencies were noted during the course of the review;
howeverallegations made by Breaux could not substantiated from the
information provided.
I am enclosing a copy of the review conducted by Intemal
Auditing, along with the supportprovided by Breaux. I am also
including an e-mail from Breaux, which reports
possible"abnormalities" regarding accounting practices associated
with Sulphur High School Baseball.As stated, CPSB does not have
sufficient information to conclude there has been amisappropriation
of funds; however we report this matter to you per Act 692 of 2014,
so that youcan review the complaint.
