educational programs to demonstrate notonly what they know but also what theycan do with what they know.
An e-portfolio might focus on what waslearned in a single course, another mightspan an entire program of study, or infact chronicle an entire career.

Social Networking vs.
Professional Networking
Since their inception in 2004, the rise of socialnetworking tools such as Facebook
(http://www.facebook.com), MySpace(http://www.myspace.com) and many othershas been phenomenal.
Using simple online utilities, users easilyconnect and share their profile, communicating
with friends over the internet. Virtual groups of users with similar profiles are
created connecting users with others who havesimilar interests.
