�is new approach of being a better resource center for students and the community is known within our industry as the Store of 2015.

�e Store of 2015 is what nearly all the college stores in the nation are striving to become.

�e River Shop is proud to be one of the few stores that were ahead of this curve with our store layout and design, our product offerings, spacial concepts, and in-development programs that will differentiate us from any other typical store.

In fact, we were so ahead of the curve and different from the other big name schools that we earned national recognition from �e National Association of College Stores and was

featured in �e College Store magazine alongside Brown University Bookstore, Kenyon College Bookstore, Syracuse University Bookstore, and Caltech Bookstore!

... And that ladies and gentle-men was just for Phase I. Phase II of our store’s development plan includes a new variety of items, new technology products including dual-screen e-readers, and some awesome programs that include student involve-ment from all over campus and the community.

Legacy: �e New Indian River Cuisine is just the start of what is the future from this store; and a mighty beautiful start at that.

Chocolate Oatmeal Cake

1 C. Quick Cooking Oats1 Stick Margarine1-1/4 C. Boiling Water1 C. White Sugar1 C. Brown Sugar

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.2. In a large bowl, pour boiling water over oats and margarine and all it to stand for 15 minutes.3. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, eggs, flour, baking soda, cocoa, and salt. Mix thoroughly, but do not use a beater.4. Add oat mixture to the sugar, eggs, flour, baking soda, cocoa, and salt mixture. Stir together.5. Pour the cake batter into a non-stick or greased baking pan 6. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.7. Remove from oven and let cool.8. Add special topping (Special topping recipe will be available in the full version book.)

Sabrina’s Family Favorite Mac & Cheese

1 Box Tubular Spiral Noodles1 lg. Block of Extra Sharp Cheddar, Grated3 C. Milk

1. Boil and drain noodles according to package directions.2. Grate the cheddar cheese block and set aside.3. To make Cheese Sauce: a. Using a large pot on medium heat, heat butter until melted. b. Whisk in flour. c. Cook flour and butter for 2 - 3 minutes on medium heat. d. Whisk in milk. e. Lower heat to a simmer. f. Reduce and whisk in small amounts of cheddar and parmesan cheese on low heat.4. Mix cooked noodles and cheese sauce together, place in greased casserole dish.5. In an oven, broil on high until lightly browned on top; remove casserole from oven and let it rest for 20 minutes.

1. Visit us online at www.bookstore.irsc.edu. On our home page at the bottom of the page you will see a web banner that says Legacy. Click the banner to download the entry PDF forms. This download will include ALL the entry forms, but you only need to fill out the forms relative to what you might be entering; for example, you do not need to fill out an artistic photography form if you are only entering a recipe with a photograph of the food.

2. Visit us at Main Campus in Fort Pierce. Here at the Main Campus’s Bookstore we have each form printed out and ready for students or commu-nity members to pick up and fill out. Feel free to stop by any time and get a form for yourself.

Now, this is important so remember it: All submissions should adhere to the PDF’s guidlines as closely as possible in order to make it into the full edition book.

The Full Edition book will be available for purchase from The River Shop when it is completed.
