A very common reason is that the power supply is broken. This is easy to understand,

just as a man will die if his heart stops working. Usually the broken of LED power supply,

also called LED driver, is from the input current. If the current you use is over than the

maximum allowed current, it will stop working. For example, you buy a T8 tube 9W in

100-240V AC, and its maximum current is 0.09A, but you install the tube in the power

85V, so the real current go through the tube is 0.1A. As a result, the tube stops working.

Also, if the LED chips power supply breakdown, the tube will not work. Then short-circuit

failure may cause over-current drive circuit, which will lead to overheating damage.
