LEBLANC ILLUMINATIONS®, THE FRENCHDESIGN ICON FOR LUMINOUS DECORATIONS

1958 Michel Leblanc, owner of Leblanc Illuminations®, was the first in Europe to produce illuminated motifs on wood frames fitted with porcelain lamp holders.

1960 Illuminated motifs were built on aluminium frames for the first time. This new process allowed a greater diversity of creation, increased longevity and an excellent size/weight ratio.

1996 Anticipating the need for energy savings, Leblanc Illuminations®

introduced LED (Light-Emitting Diode) technology into its

ranges.

2001 With 5 km of rope light, the city of DOLE (Jura) wrote a poem by Victor Hugo for the bicentenary of his birth.

2002 Leblanc® illuminates Marrakech for the wedding of his highness King Mohammed VI.

2004 Millennium Stadium in Cardiff (Wales) was illuminated with 11 m high motifs designed from children drawings.

2005 Leblanc Illuminations® created for the first time a new program based on synchronization of 60 motifs in Paris. The system is based on an electrical current process, for which Leblanc Illuminations® registered the patent. Since then many cities have used this innovating system, which remains exclusivity : Leblanc Illuminations®.

2006 7 giant snowmen (12 m high) each lighted with 46,000 LEDs,were placed throughout the UK in the cities of London, Manchester, Cambridge, Birmingham, Brighton and Norwich.

2007 Adorned the Arab World Institute in Paris with lights for the building’s 20th anniversary, with more than 1.5 km of white LED Neon Flex.

CHRISTMAS 2008 : CARBON OFFSETTING

LEBLANC ILLUMINATIONS® IS EMBARKING UPON A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME DEVELOPED BY ECOACT.

Reducing the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere and effectively addressing the issue of global warming.

Leblanc Illuminations® is actively involved in a CO2 emissions offsetting programme strictly in accordance with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

In addition to internal awareness-raising activities, Leblanc Illuminations® is launching a reforestation programme developed by EcoAct. The programme is taking place in the Sainte Victoire Mediterranean forest near Aix-en-Provence and in the Mata Atlântica tropical forest in Brazil, designated a «World Biosphere Reserve» by UNESCO.

This initiative is supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), which launched the « Plant for the Planet : Billion Tree Campaign ».

Conditions : Electrical equipment located at a height less than 3.00m from the ground or projecting less than 1.00 m horizontally from abalcony, terrace or any area open to the public are considered to beaccessible.

1 • Fix the 4 post plates with the nuts andthe screws without tightening.

2 • Position the whole device around thepost.
