Overview

Deleting an object removes it from Documentum. To delete content, you must have the DELETE permission, the most powerful permission in the system. If you attempt to delete an object but do not have sufficient permission, you will receive the following warning message: You cannot delete the object because you do not have delete permission on this document.

Security InfoYou need DELETE permission to delete content from the repository.

Quick TipDocumentum does not currently have a recycle bin. In the meantime, if you need to restore content that you have deleted, you must contact the Corporate Helpdesk within 30 days of deleting the content. After 30 days, the content will be permanently purged from the database.
