Structure of K-8 Comprehensive Site - Students assessed by grade level

teacher and/or intervention teacher- Groups created based on assessment

data- Students deploy to intervention staff’s

classrooms at designated time to work on specific skill gaps

- Progress is monitored on a monthly basis

- Groups redesigned and restructured based on new data

- Data monitored by site principal, Glean Education, intervention teachers, and aides.

What does this structure allow for? - Additional data collection- Additional support for students who

need it- More targeted instruction for those

students at standard- Extra enrichment opportunities for

students performing above standard- Support for teachers in the form of

intervention support and data collection support

- Breaking up of combos for Math and ELA as possible and needed

High Dose Tutoring- CDE recommends High Dose

Tutoring as the answer to

accelerating learning.

- We have taken this model and

worked to shift it to meet the

needs of our community as well

as provide a balanced life for

students.

Glean Education Partnership- Glean Education has partnered with us for

training on data analysis and literacy instruction for our K-5 students.

- Provides ongoing training for all intervention teachers and instructional aides that are focused on learning loss.

- Training teachers on progress monitoring through Acadience learning throughout the school year.

- Trained intervention teachers on lesson planning focused on student driven needs.

- Ongoing coaching and support of individual teachers as well as program as a whole.

- Ongoing partnership and coaching for principals regarding best strategies

Assessment Calendar- Reading Benchmark #1: August 30th - Sept

24th- Reading Benchmark #2: January 24th -

February 18th- Reading Benchmark #3: May 9th - June 3rd

Progress monitoring occurs every 4-6 weeks using Acadience Learning Progress Monitoring assessments and Focused Interim Assessments.

Math Bridges Intervention Progress Monitoring checkpoints and piloted Edmentum at two sites as a math data collection tool.

Math and ELA Assessment 3rd - 8th gradeIABs and FIABs are the assessments that indicate

student readiness for the CAASPP assessment.

Math and ELA IABs/FIABs are done every month

from October - March

April is for reteaching and May is when we take the

CAASPP.

The lead teachers help determine what the IAB and

FIAB schedule should be so that we are as closely

aligned with content as possible.

7th and 8th grade math also give MDTP 3x per year.

High School Intervention - Focused on credit recovery - Provides additional supports in real

time to keep students passing classes and on-track to graduation.

- Increased summer school offerings and opportunities

- Summer school participation more than doubled for the 2020-2021 school year.
