Vision
The College of Business and Technology (CBT) will
Build Distinction by presenting an annual Leadership
Speaker Series allowing participants an opportunity to
engage with highly qualified successful speakers and
business leaders. The Leadership Speaker Series will
expand the College of Business and Technology’s
influence as an integral partner with local and regional
businesses of the greater East Texas and Ark-La-Tex
markets.
What to Expect
The Leadership Speaker Series is designed to
promote value and excellence through enhanced
business practices in support of the business
community. Nationally known leaders with expertise in
various areas of business will be featured regarding
their best practices on current events and trends
effecting long-term success. Participants will receive
excellent information and inspiration as well as
networking opportunities with colleagues along with an
evening of dining pleasure.
Fall 2014 Speaker
Stuart Varney, host of Varney and Company for the Fox
Business Network, addressed over 400 attendees
regarding his current outlook on the US economy at the
Economic Forecast Summit sponsored by the Hibbs
Institute for Business and Economic Research.
Spring 2016 Speaker
Lou Holtz, former college/pro football coach and sports
analyst on ESPNEWS & ESPN, is our featured guest.
He will be presenting, Game Plan for Success, which is
the foundation upon which he has built his career.

The CBT is excited to promote the annual Leadership
