Born in the Netherlands, she works and lives since 1980 in the region of Paris. She finished her studiesat School of Applied Arts (Ceramics) and Beaux Arts of Paris (sculpture) in 1986. She associates voluntarily image, sound, text and video with the object in her installations and performances. The presence of the body in her works is given rather by his absence. The envelope, the skin, the packaging defines a trace, a print, as our passage of life on earth. She started her monumental installations with clothes and criticizes the comfort in which we are surrounded, making us falling to sleep. Copies of reality like prostheses of our way of living, objects in profusion which we consume, are playing a role of consolation. By changing the scale, or the envelope of the sculptures, she strengthens the artificial and bulky dimension, trapping us in our own environment. Frightened by this reality, we tend to over protect us ..."C'est par le faux que le vrai se définit " (Broodthaers) (It is by the forgery that the truth defines itself)She exposes since 1991 in France, Europe and Canada

Fur VenusThe Venus, painted by Patrick Lipski, is covered by a heavy fur coat. The coat has consequently overcome the essential form of the work by
touching it’s body, rounding it’s composition and cutting into it’s joints. The coat, originally placed in the background has slipped forward, whilst the
entire body has receded to the background. Even so, this body, half covered by the fur coat show through.
The flesh and the body transform into a ghost, enveloped by the dark background which give them a sculpted image. It is a trademark of Patrick
Lipski, from one work to another to find a connexion between the drawings and the final paintings. Here, the specific relationship between graphic-
material and figure painting allows us to understand that which belongs equally to direct representation as to pictoral redressing.

Lives in colors What Pierre Millotte have been trying to do for the last sixteen years or more is to tell the story of individual people’s lives, as seen through the places where they live, the places they visit, or the people they sleep with. Whether we view these real-life phenomena as functions of time or place, they never fail to surprise. Each of these colour compositions is different, ordered solely by the chance happenings of life.
Sometimes, the pictures are enhanced by words or photographs, which invite the observer to discover even deeper insights into the reality of the lives of the subjects.

“A sculptor nourished by the eclecticism of the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, Taïne tells her story in many volumes, like one builds a home over the course of a lifetime.” My work is inspired by anecdotes culled from my daily life.I combine decorative techniques and materials with fully formed characters. The scenes that result are both fantastical and joyous, they tell passionate, loquacious stories, stories full of emotion. The pieces, life size, are sculpted in polyurethane foam, then laminated. In the end its the body, the seriously funny body, that expresses emotion, that expresses feeling. The clothing-sculptures are made from real, laminated clothing. Capturing fabric, blowing in the wind, capturing an instant in motion.Parallel to my own personal research, I collaborate with others to create work for public and private spaces.
