Dear Student

Welcome to the Law Fair. This fair will give you the opportunity to meet key recruiters who are seeking law and non-law graduates. Here are some ways to make the most of the fair and maximise your chances of getting the job you want:

• Do some in-depth research in advance to demonstrate your understanding of the organisation and their sector. Visit company websites and the LSE Careers site lse.ac.uk/careers

• Make use of the ‘I want to work in...’ leaflets and other resources in the Careers Information Room and on our website - look under employer sector information for Law.

• Be prepared to talk to the exhibitors about:

• Why you want to work in that sector • Why you want to work for them, and • Why they should employ YOU!

• Get the names and job titles of the people you talk to – then you can refer to them in your application.

• The fair is an ideal place for employers to assess you. So make sure that you:

• Dress smartly. The dress code for this event is business smart. Please don’t make us turn you away!

• Bring an up-to-date CV in case an exhibitor asks to see it. Collect your free copy of our guide to CV writing and applications forms, attend a CV or application form seminar (see Events on My Careers Service for details) and use our CV checking service (see lse.ac.uk/careers).

We hope that you enjoy this event and we wish you the very best of luck in your job search!
