YEAR 6 FAREWELL DINNER On Monday Night our Year 6 student’s celebrated their time at Lavington PS with a Farewell Dinner. A great night was had by all and it was lovely to see many parents witness their child receiving their
Graduation Certificate.

A message from our Principal… Good afternoon everyone! It’s the last week of school for 2017. What an epic year. So much achieved, so much accomplished. And, to be completely honest, I am exhausted! I hope you are incredibly proud of your children and what they have achieved this year. Thank you to all our students, staff, parents and volunteers for your efforts this year. Lavington Public School will continue to grow due to the impact of these contributions from our whole school community. I hope you enjoy the school holidays with people you care about. Recharge the batteries and return in 2018 ready to go. There’s so much to look forward to! Our classroom teachers are announced, with additional support staff still to be confirmed. Rest assured there’s many staff working behind the scenes to ensure next year will be our best year yet! See you all in 2018! Brett.
KINDERGARTEN 2018 Parents are requested to ensure that the school has received the following documents to enable their child’s enrolment to proceed:
• Application to Enrol in a NSW School • Birth Certificate • Immunisation Certificate • Proof of Residence • Health Care Plan if applicable
We have had three information sessions in conjunction with Little Leaps – Kinder Information, Literacy and Mathematics. Each parent has been sent home a letter with their child’s Best Start Assessment date. Each class will have its own separate information session very early in term 1.

CALENDARS Our special Lavington PS 2018 Calendars have arrived and will be distributed as soon as possible. They look fantastic so if you never got around to placing an order, there are extra copies available for sale from the office. Priced at only $10.00, they would make a great Christmas gift. CLASSROOM REWARD - POOL ACTIVITY DAY Students are celebrating at the Lavington Swim Centre today as part of their Classroom Celebration of Success K-6 Activity.
YEAR 6 CLAP OUT Tomorrow afternoon we will be farewelling our Year 6 students as they move on to High School. At approximately 2:50pm parents are invited to come to the school to join students and staff to form a guard of honour and clap out our students out the gates. We hope you can make it.
CELEBRATION OF SUCCESS PLAYGROUND REWARD WATER CIRCUIT ACTIVITIES DAY All students enjoyed a day of water activities on Tuesday as part of their celebration of success playground reward.
GOLD MORNING TEA Proud Parents and students who received Gold Awards this year enjoyed a lovely morning tea on Wednesday which was supplied by the staff, to acknowledge all the hard work these students have done to qualify for a Gold Award.
END OF YEAR GET-TO-GETHER As mentioned in the newsletter last week, our P & C will be holding a dinner to end the year. Anyone who has helped out on the P & C during 2017 as well as P & C members are invited to attend. Meal and drinks at own cost. We will meet at Taco Bills on Sunday, 17 December from 5:30pm. If you would like to come along, please RSVP to Kathy Barnes on 0427 263 097 by Friday 15 December.
