• Volunteer Coordinator for Bahama Bash: (school-wide after prom party):

organized approximately 200 volunteers to work the event; kept track of hours

throughout the entire school year for the privilege of working; facilitated

paperwork for state/district background checks of all volunteers; kept track of

student volunteer hours.

Arlington ISD Council of PTAs Vice President and Board Member, Arlington, TX, 1995-

2001

• Served in various positions including Scholarship Vice President, Scholarship

Event Coordinator, and Arts in Education Coordinator.

• Scholarship Event Coordinator and VP: Responsible for coordinating a city-wide

scholarship event to fund approximately 14 scholarships including both student

and teacher awards; organized the selection committee and distribution of the

awards during an annual city-wide luncheon.

• Organized the city-wide Arts in Education Program: selected judges; arranged for

the judging venue, and awards; forwarded winning artwork to the next level of

judging; organized and presented winning recipients at an annual banquet of more

than 700 participants.
