SECTION 4: First aid measures
4.1. Description of first aid measures
Move victim out of danger zone. Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Get medical
advice/attention if you feel unwell. If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical advice.
Self-protection of the first aider
General information
Provide fresh air. Medical treatment necessary. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial
respiration.
After inhalation
Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse . If
skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
After contact with skin
After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time , then consult an
ophthalmologist immediately. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
After contact with eyes
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Call a doctor. Do NOT induce vomiting. After ingestion
4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Narcotic effects. Respiratory complaints. Headache. Dizziness.
4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treat symptomatically. Subsequent observance for pneumonia and lung oedema. To supervise the blood
circulation.
SECTION 5: Firefighting measures
5.1. Extinguishing media
Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings.
Suitable extinguishing media
No information available.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Highly flammable. In use may form flammable/explosive vapour-air mixture. The vapour of the product is
heavier than air and may accumulate below ground level, in pits, channels and basements in higher
concentration.
Formation of: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Full protection suit.
In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.
5.3. Advice for firefighters
Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers. Suppress gases/vapours/mists
with water spray jet. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or
surface water.
Additional information
SECTION 6: Accidental release measures

Remove all sources of ignition. Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Use personal protection equipment. Remove persons to safety. In case of
insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Do not allow uncontrolled discharge of product into the environment. Danger of explosion6.2. Environmental precautions
Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Treat the
recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Safe handling: see section 7
Personal protection equipment: see section 8
Disposal: see section 13
6.4. Reference to other sections
SECTION 7: Handling and storage
7.1. Precautions for safe handling
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Vapours can form explosive mixtures
with air.
Advice on safe handling
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Ground and bond container and receiving equipment. Use only antistatically equipped (spark-free) tools.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Further information on handling
7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep container tightly closed. Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels
Do not store together with: Oxidizing agent. Pyrophoric or self-heating substances. Keep away from food, drink
and animal feedingstuffs. Protect against direct sunlight.
Hints on joint storage

Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Draw up and
observe skin protection programme. Wash hands and face before breaks and after work and take a shower if
necessary. When using do not eat or drink.
Protective and hygiene measures
Tightly sealed safety glasses.
Eye/face protection
Wear suitable gloves. When handling with chemical substances, protective gloves must be worn with the
CE-label including the four control digits. The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be
chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For
special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned
above together with the supplier of these gloves. (EN 374)
Hand protection
Flame-retardant protective clothing. Wear anti-static footwear and clothing
Skin protection
In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.
Respiratory protection
Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
