October - December 2017
Dear brothers and sisters, with this letter we want to inform you about happenings in past period as
well as plans and prayer needs for period in front of us.
October
In the first week of October, pastor Slavko was teaching at Langham Preaching Seminar, level 1 – in Mostar, Bosnia. In third week of October he was teaching at Langham Preaching Seminar, level 2 in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia.

Between those two seminars, Slavko visited Southampton, UK, where he spoke at Evangelistic events

Evangelistic event in Southampton
24th of October we had promotion of the evangelistic book „Cross on a hill“ written by Joshua Irby and
Slavko Hadzic. Book is published by secular publishing house „Rabic“ and it is available in bookstores in
Bosnia. You can see more about the book at following links (for now, only in Bosnian language).

Promotion of the book „Cross on a hill“
31st of October, in the Academy of Fine Arts (former building of Lutheran church) churches of Sarajevo held
celebration of 500 years of Reformation. Pastor Slavko was one of speakers at the celebration; he was

500 years of Reformation - celebration
November
There was a FEUER (Fellowship of European University Evangelists) conference in Prague at the beginning of
November. After the conference Slavko was speaking at evangelistic events organised by Christian Student
Unions in Prague, Czech and Bucharest, Romania. On the way back from Romania he was speaking at
General Assembly of AoG church in Subotica, Serbia.

Mission Week in Bucharest, Romania
28th of Nov, in our church we held another evangelistic event for ladies „Circle of Women“. This meeting
was very well attended. Theme of the meeting was „Christmas“, and ladies who attended had opportunity to
hear Good News of the Gospel.

At the end of November, Slavko travelled to Macedonia where he participated at board meeting and
planning of the regional men’s conference „My Brother’s Keeper“. After that he was teaching at Langham
Preaching Seminar, level 1 in Skopje, Macedonia.

We are thankful to God for the miracles which He is doing among us, we were praying for two children from
our church that had some health issues and in both cases God answered in miraculous way. Boy who had
problems with his hearing after prayer his hearing is improved and he does not need hearing aid. A girl who
had long been suffering from Escherichia Coli that could not be eliminated with antibiotics, after prayer
received clear tests (twice). PRAISE THE GOD!!!
December
In December we, one more time, visited all people whom we help in our humanitarian project, and we
distributed food parcels to them. All of them, through last year, several times had opportunity to hear the
Gospel and they were challenged to make decision about it.
Mid December, Slavko was speaking at evangelistic events in Slovenia, organized by student organization
ZVEŠ and churches in Ljubljana and Maribor. He was also teaching at the seminar about evangelism.

End of the December, as every year, was very busy with Christmas activities. This year we didn’t organise
puppet shows but we were distributing children’s Christmas parcels (Operation Christmas Child) at the: NGO
for handicapped citizens, school for the children with hearing disabilities, centre for work with the juveniles,
one Gipsy NGO and also one of the Sarajevo elementary schools. Besides that, in cooperation with the
“Mission Without Borders” we gladden 40 families with Christmas food boxes (Operation Christmas Love).
On Dec 26th we held Christmas concert in our church which was very well attended as well as Christmas
Service which we had on Dec 24th.

Family Hadžić
After the medical issues which Sanja experienced at the end of September when she was admitted to
hospital for two weeks, she is doing pretty good. She never received diagnosis but vertigo is gone and it
hasn’t come back. Jovana had graduation ceremony at the beginning of December, as bachelor of
Psychology; she is now at the end of first semester of her master. David finished first semester of his last
year in high school and he is getting ready for University. Slavko’s health condition is good, next check up is
in March.
Prayer needs and plans for period in front of us:
- In January we need to choose new families for our 2018 humanitarian project. We are thankful for
our partner church from UK who is supporting our humanitarian work for years. Pray for wisdom in
choosing new families.
- 17th -19th of Jan, Slavko is travelling to UK to meeting of the European Langham Preaching leadership
team, pray for safe travel and good meetings.
- Pray for our regular weekly activities: Sunday service, prayer meetings, Bible studies, pre-evangelistic
meetings of Zumba for ladies...
- 01st -03rd of Feb, Slavko will be teaching at the Langham Preaching Seminar, level 1, in Dalmatia,
Croatia. Pray for Safe travel and good seminar.
- 04th -09th of Feb, Slavko will be one of the speakers at the Mission Week, at University of
Cambridge, UK. After that he will visit our partner church in Barton Seagrave. Pray for safe travel and
conversions at the evangelistic events.
- We will have next evangelistic meeting „Circle of Women“ in February. Pray for sisters involved in
organization of the meeting and for good attendance.

- 22nd-24th of Feb Slavko will be teaching at level 3 of Langham Preaching Seminar in Sremska
Mitrovica, Serbia. Pray for travel, participants, teachings...
- 09th-16th of March, our church is bringing one evangelist from the UK to Bosnia. We will organize
evangelistic event in our church as well as in cities of Tuzla, Doboj, Banja Luka, and Mostar. That will
be 5 events in 5 cities in just a week. Pray for good attendance and conversions, and also for
financial provision.
- 19th-23rs of March there will be Langham Preaching European Consultation held in Sarajevo. All
European national coordinators are invited and we are expecting around 25 participants. Pray for
organisation and for consultations.
- In the last week of March there will be Langham Preaching Seminar, level 2 in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Pray
for teachings and participants.
- In March Slavko is supposed to have his regular yearly medical check up. After he had cancer twice
(9 and 6 years ago) and after he had to remove kidney (3 years ago), time of check up is always
stressful. Pray for peace and good results.
- Pray for sister Mirjana V. To whom doctors found some changes in the body that they suspect it can
be malignant. In next days she needs to do more checkups. Pray for miracle.
- Pray for Ida who is pregnant and is supposed to deliver baby in the spring.
