LANDASAN KAPITAL (M) SDN BHD was incorporated on 8th January

2001 to undertake building constructions, civil engineering projects and

steel fabrication works, both in public and private sectors. The company is

registered as a Bumiputra class A Contractor with Pusat Khidmat

Kontraktor (PKK) Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan, to enable the

company to tender and undertake government project of any size.

As an accredited approved Contractor under grade G7 category with the

Construction Industry Development Board, the custodian and guardian of

the construction industry in Malaysia, we have undertaken and

participated in various design and built project with several reputable

developer and contractors.

We have established ourselves as a company adhering strictly to the

policy of timely job completion, quality workmanship and cost effective.

With strong support from our suppliers, experienced management team of

wide knowledge in the construction industry, we are geared to move

forward to be a reputable Bumiputera contractor.

LANDKAP thru our strategic alliance partnership with

local and International manufacturer is capable of

designing, manufacturing and installing of molded

and Pultruded composite Fiberglass Reinforced

Polymer (FRP) products.

These include grating, stair treads, floor plates, cover

trenching, handrails, ladders, cable tray, struts, roof

truss, enclosures and structural shapes. Some of the

standard products are available through a network of

stocking distributors and representatives.

Capabilities

LANDKAP capabilities include design and engineering assistance as well

as custom manufacturing. LANDKAP started in business as a supplier,

providing solution that no one else wanted to do or was incapable of

doing.

Design Criteria

All components of LANDKAP structural & panel, which are made of frp

'pultrusion' and 'hand-lay' process, has conformed to the following

physical test and properties (as conducted by international lab)

Products & Process: Process Description

Pultrusion is a manufacturing process for producing continuous lengths of FRP structural shapes.

Raw materials include a liquid resin mixture (containing resin, fillers and specialized additives)

and reinforcing fibers. The process involves pulling these raw materials (rather than pushing as is

the case in extrusion) through a heated steel forming die using a continuous pulling device. The

reinforcement materials are in continuous forms such as rolls of fiberglass mat or doffs of

fiberglass roving. As the reinforcements are saturated with the resin mixture ("wet-out") in the

resin impregnator and pulled through the die, the gelation (or hardening) of the resin is initiated

by the heat from the die and a rigid, cured profile is formed that corresponds to the shape of

the die.

While pultrusion machine design varies with part geometry, the basic pultrusion process

concept is described in the following schematic.

The creels position the reinforcements for subsequent feeding into the guides. The reinforcement

must be located properly within the composite and controlled by the reinforcement guides.

The resin impregnator saturates (wets out) the reinforcement with a solution containing the resin,

fillers, pigment, and catalyst plus any other additives required. The interior of the resin

impregnator is carefully designed to optimize the "wet-out" (complete saturation) of the

reinforcements.

On exiting the resin impregnator, the reinforcements are organized and positioned for the

eventual placement within the cross section form by the preformer. The preformer is an array of

tooling which squeezes away excess resin as the product is moving forward and gently shapes

the materials prior to entering the die. In the die the thermosetting reaction is heat activated

(energy is primarily supplied electrically) and the composite is cured (hardened).

On exiting the die, the cured profile is pulled to the saw for cutting to length. It is necessary to

cool the hot part before it is gripped by the pull block (made of durable urethane foam) to

prevent cracking and/or deformation by the pull blocks. Two distinct pulling systems are used: a

caterpillar counter-rotating type and a hand-over-hand reciprocating type.

In certain applications an RF (radio frequency wave generator) unit is used to preheat the

composite before entering the die. When in use, the RF heater is positioned between the resin

impregnator and the preformer. RF is generally only used with an all roving part.

HIGH STRENGTHStronger than structural steel on a pound-for-pound basis. Has been used toform the superstructures of multistory buildings, walkways, sub-floors andplatforms.

LIGHTWEIGHTPultrusion are 20-25% the weight of steel and 70% the weight of aluminum.Pultruded products are easily transported, handled and lifted into place.Total structures can often be preassembled and shipped to the job siteready for installation.

CORROSION/ROT RESISTANTPultruded products will not rot and are impervious to a broad range ofcorrosive elements. This feature makes pultrusion a natural selection forindoor or outdoor structures in pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, waterand sewage treatment plants, structures near salt water and other corrosive

environments.

NON-CONDUCTIVEGlass reinforced pultrusion have low thermal conductivity and areelectrically non-conductive.

ELECTRO-MAGNETIC TRANSPARENCYPultruded products are transparent to radio waves, microwaves and otherelectromagnetic frequencies.

DIMENSIONAL STABILITY

The coefficient of thermal expansion of pultruded products is slightly lessthan steel and significantly less than aluminum.

PARTS CONSOLIDATIONCustom designed pultrusion allow multiple discrete parts to be designed andfabricated into a single part thus reducing the number of fabricated partsand the need to join these parts together.

LOW TEMPERATURE CAPABILITIESGlass fiber reinforced pultrusion exhibit excellent mechanical properties atvery low temperatures, even -70°F. Tensile strength and impact strengths are

greater at -70°F than at +80°F.

AESTHETICSPultruded profiles are pigmented throughout the thickness of the part andcan be made to virtually any desired custom color. Special surfacing veilsare also available to create special surface appearances such as woodgrain, marble, granite, etc.

Since the seventies, the wooden cross arm is widely used on the suspensiontower for 132kV and 275kV overhead transmission line. The usage of woodencross arm is mainly due to its good performance during lightning strike. However

there are other problems associate with wooden cross arm. Pultruded glass fiber reinforced structural shapes and plate have a number of significant advantages over timber inmany structural applications. Pultruded fiberglass will not rot or decay and is not susceptible to insect attack. Unlikewood, fiberglass requires no environmentally unfriendly preservatives or repellants, does not absorb any significantamount of water and is consistent in strength and appearance piece-to-piece (no culling). Pultruded fiberglass isstronger, more rigid and lighter weight than structural timber.

Transparent to radio waves, EMI/RFI

transmissions; used for radar and

antennae enclosures and supports.

FABRICATION

Easy field fabrication with simple

carpenter tools - utilizes adhesive

bonding and/or mechanical joining. No

torches or welding.

Good mach inability - welding, brazing,

soldering or mechanical joining.
