Our annual Third Generation Day took place on Monday 17 June. TGD is designed as a ‘day to remember’ that we hope our pupils will look back on with great memories that they will treasure and share with their own children and grandchildren in years to come.

Years 3 to 8 undertook a brief

journey to the fantastic Adur Outdoor Centre, where they enthusiastically clambered up climbing walls, undertook bushcraft and team building activities and negotiated a low ropes course. Groups went off on mountain bikes to develop their off road cycling skills. Stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing were on

offer to the older children who donned wetsuits and flotation vests with great excitement as they took to the river for a super fun session. The staff thought they would stay out until the tide went out.

The buzz from the day was almost palpable and the children returned home tired out but very happy!

Third Generation Day!

News Bulletin

21 June 2019

Back at school the Pre-Prep children had a wonderful morning as dinosaur hunters, exploring fossils and meeting a very cute dinosaur that sat in a box on the lap of their dinosaur expert guide for the day.

When the rather larger T Rex arrived at lunchtime (in a manner somewhat reminiscent of Jurassic Park), some of the children overcame their initial misgivings at meeting the King of the Dinosaurs, whereas others were eager to get to know him straightaway!

Junior Chess teamOur team of Lucas K (Year 3),

Joshua H, John H and Zach P (all Year 4) took part in the Primary School Chess Competition held at Brighton College. They acquitted themselves brilliantly playing up against opponents in Year 6 and they came third in their division. This is a real achievement for the boys to have done so well as a team and we are proud of them!

Nursery DancersMiss Sutton from 'Diddi Dance'

visited the Nursery to take the chil-dren, and staff, for a funky dance class. Diddi dance is a gentle and fun introduction to the world of dance, taught in a relaxed manner that allows children’s confidence to blossom at their own pace.

Congratulations to Debating TeamIn a friendly competition against

Westbourne House, our team dazzled with arguments of an astounding quality, with Alex M and Izzy in particularly good form.

Well done to the whole team who did so well.
