LAKEVIEW RANCH OVERVIEW AND HISTORY

Lakeview Ranch sits on 640.25 acres on Canyon Ferry’s western edge. The property is a full section surrounded by the lake and public lands. Built in 2012, by Teton Heritage Builders and designed by Blue Sky Architecture PC. Past the great room and through an impressive stone archway is the Master Wing. In the corner of the room is a vintage 1920, fully restored parlor wood stove. Overhead is one of five custom made chandeliers in the master wing. Off the master bedroom through sliding doors with Moroccan etched copper inlays is a warm and peaceful sun room. The master bathroom features a large granite and glass walk in shower with a stone bench, an elevated Jacuzzi tub, dual under counter mounted glass sinks with granite counter tops and a separate commode room. Above the four car, 35’ deep garage is the master study. A private staircase leads to this spacious room with timber beams and vaulted ceilings. Custom leather couches and recliners surround a built in entertainment system. In the corner of the room is the home’s third completely restored wood stove, a vintage US Army Cannon. A wet bar with granite counter tops, copper sink and fridge is in the other corner. Out the double doors is a large Brazilian ipe deck with glass deck rails. Behind one of the built in book cases is a secret door which leads to a large secluded bedroom with three queen size beds and a flat screen TV. The study is completely furnished and also includes a hand woven Pakistani rug, an imported rustico coffee table and a large desk.

Above: The main floor offers a two bedroom family suite with fantastic lake views. One of the bedrooms features a loft and custom iron ladder/staircase. Hanging from the vaulted ceilings of both rooms are beautiful iron chandeliers. The suite features an en suite bathroom which includes a shower/bath combo, granite counter tops, dual under-mount sinks and commodes.

ENERGY AND SECURITYThe Lakeview Ranch is energy efficient and employs a low voltage lighting system, 13 geothermal wells, radiant floor heating throughout, solar hot water, core-bond SPF insulation throughout, a R55 insulated roof, a HRV heat exchanger and solar electric back up. There are twelve buried 1,000 gallon propane tanks, a back up 36KW propane generator and a back up HVAC and forced air system throughout. There is a fire-suppression system as well as an extensive home and family security system complete with electric gate with intercom and keypad, exterior-motion activated cameras and interior cameras that are monitored 24/7 and are remotely accessible.

With 12’, coffered inlayed ceilings the lower level includes the entertaining area with den, powder room, bar, pool table and work station as well as the theater, gym, wine cellar/tasting room, bunk room and lower level suite. In the den around a beautifully restored vintage, Round Oak, nickel plated base burner wood stove is a large U-shaped leather sectional and ottoman. The bar with seating for four features double thick granite counter tops, custom cabinets, a sink, ice-maker, refrigerator and a pass through window to the outside entertaining area. Around the pool table are more custom cabinets and a large work station with wireless hot-spot, where you can set up your computer and get a little work done while you play. Out side the floor to ceiling windows on the room’s eastern side you can walk out side to the home’s impressive outdoor entertaining area and massive 30’ stone fireplace.

The home’s wine cellar/tasting room can accommodate over 1250 bottles and has comfortable seating for ten. With a dedicated climate control, humidifier, dual paned windows and touch pad security system on the door, your wine collection will be safe and secure. The stone wall posts are made of salvaged limestone from a ranch in Kansas and contain visible fossils! The 12’ groin vaulted brick ceiling evokes feelings of grandeur above the custom made wall sconces and iron chandelier. The room also features a custom steel alcove with a copper sink, wine refrigerator, wine glass cabinet and bulk storage. Original art work included.

BUNK ROOMIn the bunk room there are four queen size bunk beds. Each custom made bunk has privacy curtains, storage drawers, accordion lighting, shelves, and electrical outlets for charging all of your devices. This room has its own wireless ‘hot-spot’ built into the ceiling. There is a large walk in closet and an en suite bath. The bath includes a trough style, concrete sink with two faucets and two pull out standing platforms for little kids. The glass walk in shower is lined with zebrano stone.
